  1. Correction. you need a 4mm punch; 5mm won't work. I have a 3mm pin punch to start the coil pin out.

Also another tip, you aren't suppose roll pin punches on most of the coil pins. They aren't designed for coil pins. The center hole is always slightly offset on coil pins. Roll pins have a much more centered hole.

  2. My shortened stock with limbsaver recoil pad. Don't recommend as it is a ton of work.

I like the Urbino stock but it is way too short for me and the grip is too blocky for me. People sometimes put the original rubber grip on.

  3. Those are called snap ring, retaining ring, or lock ring pliers. They are found in numerous machines like vehicle transmissions.

The pair he is holding looks to be a USAG branded one; which is an Italian tool manufacturer. You can get them with serrations for extra grip and/or dimples for a positive lock on the ring. They always open outward and always have a spring.

    M3

One of my other M3 ?.

    M3-10

It has the 20 gauge two piece bolt latch on it, triangle safety, M4 steel receiver extension, M4 field stock, LPA D5 rear sight, Super Black Eagle 3 charging handle, and a M2 follower.

    M3

Some information about the carriers on the M3. Starting from the top, we have the earliest carrier with the M3 with a rounded notch cut out for the drop lever.

    lifter.png

All carriers after this design use a trapezoidal cut out. The bottom carrier is a M4 or M1014 carrier. it is incompatible with the M3 without additional modifications to that notch and the front of the carrier.

  4. well if you find one you gotta spill the beans.

This is a tool that should come with every M4 to be honest. It can't be too expensive to include as the tool is just stamped steel.

  5. Maybe talk to heckler&kochp2000? I dunno how to obtain this special tool. I bet there is an automotive tool equivalent for the gas plug. You don't really need the sight tool.

  6. Do the tips look bent to you? If so you could probably warranty them. Not sure what else to tell you other than buying a different pair.

The funny thing is that the factory Benelli M4 disassembly video shows the armorer using the wrong type of pliers to remove the clip?. but if it works it works.

  7. Apparently this is the factory M4 armorer's tool to take apart the piston plug, adjust the front sight (5.5mm), and adjust the rear sight:

  8. Just make sure you have steady hands and hold the pliers perfectly perpendicular.

I have been using the Knipex ones for years on my German car and guns and they are way better than the Snap-on, Irwin, or Channellock. There is actually a very specific pair of pliers that you are suppose to use for these clips where the tips are together at rest with no gap; but you can still use regular circlip pliers with a steady hand and good tips.

On the 1301 the lifter drops when the hammer falls. What makes the lifter drop on your Benelli mod?...or just go shoot it,  I want to see it work! ?

Hopefully I will be able to hit the range this week. Running low on buckshot and slugs?.

  10. I would call Benelli for warranty before you order the carrier. I told them about a problem years ago and they mailed me a part all for free no questions asked. Hecc I have I bunch of carriers laying around I could send you a spare for free if you don't want to wait for Benelli. The carrier might not even be the problem, we really don't know until you take apart the trigger group.

I am pretty confident the rail fits.

Also, if you ever want to switch out the bolt release, you can't use most as it will interfere with the pump handle.
