Here's another vid that might be useful

Generally recommended no tighter than modified I believe... I've read all sort of things on accuracy with suggestions from cylinder to modified. It most likely comes down to the slug maker and the specifics of your barrel. I've seen regular soft lead foster slugs go through a full choke without problem but when you start looking into more hardened varieties or something like the DDupleks steel slugs I'd contact the maker.

2.48" is quite long for a 2 3/4" shell... only 1/4" of the hull is folded over on those S&Bs
-
Sigh...what ammo are you using? Not all 2 3/4 shells are the same length. 9rd Federal buckshot is known to be longer...heck there's another thread about this exact same issue on the front page
-
-
Are you sure those flakes weren't shiny bits of lead?
-
Wish I could help but I haven't changed my shell stop latch spring. I have switched out my bolt release button to the gg&g but kept using the same spring...
-
It will get better...but remember you're using a very rapidly reloading semi-auto that necessitates a stiffer spring than a pump. It's physics...
Also I'm not sure what you mean by extractor lip... the shell extractor is on the bolt face. Do you mean the carrier or shell stop?

Ah yeah, sorry forgot that the measurement is based on unfilled hull length. I'll show the length difference of the 9 shot vs 8 shot Federal LE buckshot tonight.... the 9 being a little longer than "normal"
Cheers

So now I'm a bit confused. 5 - 2.5" dummy shells fit but only 4 - 2.37" shells fit? Have you benchmarked that set of calipers lately?
Good to hear that clipping the spring worked... I'll measure some of those shells at home later too.
-
The 9 pellet Federal LE buckshot tends to be a little longer than 2 3/4" in my experience. Did you measure your specific shells? Also check the spring retainer location in your magazine tube. Sometimes it can be installed a bit too far down and moving it up/out will increase your magazine length. I generally install mine protruding from the magazine tube a bit and tightening down the magazine cap / barrel nut will push it into proper place. Check your follower to see if there's any metal in there that the spring might be resting on.
Just some quick things to do before considering clipping your magazine spring...

Yeah those shouldn't be set screws.

Ah, missed that. I wish the m-lok slots were higher up on the truckee forend.
I think I'll wait for the m4a1 forend to come out from benelli

So for I like the look of this option... with what appears to be some stipling along the sides.

The reason I ask is because I have someone telling me the following:
922® compliance does not matter other than maybe for price negotiation purposes.
Sure... it's just for price negotiations... sounds like a trust worthy fellow that is well informed.
-
I'm not a lawyer... but as far as I'm aware no one has been prosecuted under 922® compliance. If it was originally an LE gun I think you're fine. If the prior owner replaced the parts I'd have some serious evidence that it wasn't you that changed parts... that can be a very tricky thing to prove... and try to pin on the previous owner.
922® compliance matters as a law... and if for some reason your weapon is confiscated I'm sure non-compliance would be added to the charges. It's pretty easy to say if only matter for price negotiations when you're not looking at a federal prosecutor. But I tend to play it safe with firearm regulations.
-
Ah, good points. No idea how much, or if, the airtech limbsavers are improved. Cheers
Thx for your quick response. My c-stock is pinned, due to CA laws, so the plate won’t be in my way. But I guess it’d be cheaper to buy screws than the plate. Only reason left to go the plate route now is if the newer AirTech LimbSavers are any better than the classics.
-
You'd have to drill through the plate and pad so that your c-stock would collapse, like that StrangerDanger has done for a while. If you have the tactical pg or field stock then that part doesn't matter... but you have to buy the plate.

Great post!
-
I spoke with carriercomp last night and they stated that currently they are looking at only 4-5 week order time frames. I don’t think it has ever been that short.
Wow... any word on getting back into other m4 products?
-
Any sane person would see that Evolution... he posted issues with his gun and didn't mention them in a sales thread. A "lie of omission" and now he's obsessed with winning for some strange reason...
-
Hahahaha... sure keep giving away guns and call it winning
-
Hahaha, this guy thinks he "won" by selling a gun and parts for far less than he paid. I haven't met a guy that thinks blowing $1000 is "winning" before...

Same here. I bought imp cylinder and cylinder chokes but it was probably a waste of money
