I don't understand why you would want to do this. Removing material from the rail would weaken it as would shortening it.
if you are shooting, you can't see the unused rail any way. Quit drooling over it and shoot!

Looks to be the bloated whale the SCAR is.......none for me thanks!
-
Thought about sellin mine,......but they are selling for next to nothing.
decided to keep it, just in case I need it.

Big hands.
Just on the lower rails, where I have my support hand.
As as long as it works for you.
I can't understand putting a railed handguard on, just to cover it with rail covers.

Great setup. Thanks for posting pics.
Quite welcome!
Thanks for bringing such an innovative product to the market.
-
ATI.......poor quality products brought to you by a poor company.
Garbage AK parts, stands to reason that Benelli parts would be crap as well.
-
Would have to look and check. From experience, I don't want anything more than about 125.
much more than that and you blind yourself with the reflective light from the interior walls.

The mount is damn sweet.......I may upgrade to a bit brighter light.
But I am extremely happy wit this set up!
-
It is an awesome piece.........thanks for the kind words

But the size of the fore end must be almost grapefruit diameter!
-
M4 goodness.......

I actually wanted the 6.5 moa dot and the "always on" features. 1.5-2 year battery life is just fine by me

Decided the RM02 will suit my needs best

Got the Scalar Works mount/rail on. Fits wonderfully, the weight savings is enough that you can been the difference when comparing it with the Benelli rail in hand. RMR arrives on Monday........Christmas coming early for me.
-
Holy crap! This Scalarworks rail piece is higher quality than the factory piece!
Can't wait to get it on, sucks but my RMR will not be here until mid next week.
-
And it has been shipped........freaky fast!
-
Placed an order this evening........
-
Been trying to get ahold of them for about that long.........don't want to be gone and it sitting on the porch for a bit.

......Now I'm wondering if there is a mount for the PVS-14 which will get the PVS-14 low enough to be inline with the RMR when both the PVS-14 and the RMR are mounted on the Scalarworks rail. Anyone know?
Not possible......you will never get a PVS-14 as low as a RMR
-
Shoot it.......it will smooth out after a few hundred shells.
i am a die hard 870 fan. Still love my 870, but the SuperNova is what the 870 would be if designed today.
-
Isolated incident I'm sure...
No wonder ATI turned me down on my request to review the stock.
Seems that are chompin at the bit now..........wonder why?
-
Proof is in the puddin............buy the original, imitations are just wanna-Bs
