None. Plenty of clearance when button is depressed. JTM / johnmasen.com is the manufacturer of the mag release button sold on eBay. You can order direct through them and save a few bucks. The Dawson while nicely made, is smaller in diameter than the JTM.

I wish I could find the dimensions of both.  I saw a photo of a 1911 with the Dawson which puts it into perspective.  I can't seem to find one of the John Mason on a 1911.

Hi, first time caller here!  Does anyone have the H2O cerakote (or NP3) sporting a CarrierComp's polished titanium tube?  Pics would be great too.

Or is the jury in that the closest is the CC "muted" one?

You want muted.  SD is on the money as always.  Brushed would be almost like car chrome.

  4. I know right.  Most of the time I forget it's there.  I'll just have to keep an eye to make sure the piston doesn't deform.

I was more worried about the carrier cracking but I don't think that's going to happen.  There is a lot of solid mass there.

  5. Yes, this is one of my NP3 carriers.  You can feel it with your nail it doesn't really catch it.  You feel it and your nail slips right out.  Maybe 1/32" deep at the most.  No signs of piston damage that I'm aware of.  I think the piston makes contact just off the edge.  I didn't have any malfunctions before the plating.  It was that way before the NP3 because the plating is over the nick.  So it was either that way from the factory or it was dinged where the plating was done.

    I'm sure Benelli won't warranty since it's been NP3'd.

  6. I noticed this slight nick in my BCG.  I don’t think it’s an issue but it’s a bit concerning since it’s in the area that the piston rod makes contact.

I’ve never dropped it.  Based on the nick I don’t think it would have received that damage from a fall.  Unless it bounced off something on its way down to the floor.

  7. Very few.  Maybe 90, combination of slugs and buck.  It got a quickie boresnake cleaning followed buy a thin film of lube.  Then it sat for a while.  Today I tried getting into it to give it a proper cleaning.

  8. Thanks.  I haven't seen lead come out in strips like that before and I was like whoa!  I knew there was no way the chrome would flake that easily but it had me thinking for a moment.

  9. Kind of freaked me out at first.  I started to think there was an issue with the chrome lining.  Then I quickly realized these must be flakes of lead.  Once the small specs came out with it I started feeling better.

It just seemed like the flakes were quite long.  I also noticed the inside of the barrel became “cleaner”.  Still a ways to go.  Outside of using a Tornado brush is there anyway to speed up the cleaning process?  Or, should I just let the solvent sit longer?

I have now received the trigger housing. Shipping was prompt, communication was excellent, and item was exactly as described, although I will note that the large, detailed photographs user Milspec took showed every flaw and blemish in his ad. In person, it seems even nicer than the photos showed. I would not hesitate to engage in future transactions with Milspec, should he desire to buy something I have, or I something else he had. Deal with confidence! Thank-you, good sir!

Thank you for the kind words sir!  I'm glad the housing met your expectations.  I try to snap the best pictures that I'm capable of taking.  My goal is to remove the possibility of anyone being surprised.

I often think the same thing.  Something looks darn good in my hand.  Then when I see the pic I'm like geesh, I'm not doing myself any favors.  I'd rather under promise and over deliver.

I have the Fiocchi dummy rounds and just went to check...

Where the finish has worn on the base they are silver, and a magnet sticks...which would lead me to believe they are steel. But I also checked some of my brass Winchester, Hornady, and Federal rounds and the magnet sticks to them too.

I just got a case or Winchester Super Target to brake in a couple scatter guns.  Don't want to burn up a bunch of expensive buck and slugs.  The cases are silver and magnetic.  IDK maybe I've created a nothing burger here.
