Have you seen this happen? I ask because I have an 870 with the same setup and thousands of rounds through it. The 870 doesn’t absorb some of the recoil like semi autos do. I also have a .50 cal bolt gun with a similar mount and has also not had any issues. I haven’t used mine that much but there are plenty out there fielded in combat with quite a few rounds through them, and no mount failures.

WHUUUUT!!!!!   yes i have, ....and your 870 is STEEEEEEEL.........  (rolls eyes) ......... the Benelli M4 frame is ALUUUUUUUUMINUM.

And there is nothing wrong with my Vortex.  I like it and I have no problem using it.  Works great.

yes there is, that mass will over time SHEER the screws that hold the pic rail to the frame of the M4

AND OR it will most def. splay out the threaded holes for same on the M4

just cause something "works" doesnt make it a good idea.

I know some folks don't like the Strike Industries Benelli M4 Hayl Rail due to the set screws but I'm loving it so far.

I have had my B&T Benelli fore grip installed for several years and find the quad rail to be very effective, functional, and comfortable. It is an all aluminum construction, far superior to the Sure Fire M-80. You can  install rubber rail inserts along all un-used open areas of the rail making it very comfortable. There are not many options for fore grips for the Benelli M-4. I have found this to be far superior in design in comparison to the Sure Fire M-80 which has rubber along the barrel and the Argo system pistons. I have a previous article on the malfunction that Sure Fire took responsibility for on their poor design regarding my Sure Fire M-80. The extreme heat from the barrel  would disfigure the rubber along the Argo System  causing the pistons to come in contact with the deformed rubber. The weapon would malfunction under rapid fire using Sabo slugs. When I contacted Sure Fire I was told to send M-80 to their research dept. where they took full responsibility for the defective product. They sent me a new M-80 from remaining new old stock. I'm assuming that's one reason among several why Sure Fire stopped production of the M-80. I have cycled  up to 250 Sabo slugs in any given day, rapid fire with the B&T, without 1 malfunction.

You talked a lot but said nothing, that fore-end is junk, allows dirt to get into the piston system.  Its "it looks tacticool" piece of pure absolute JUNK

    period.

I'm looking at getting some Grade 8 bolts and throwing them on a grinder, so I can make shafts for the charging handle that have a head and a short threaded section.  That way, I can turn different handles in 1/2", or 3/4" or plastic or steel or aluminum, and they'll screw on and still have a steel shaft.  My issue is that I don't own an M4 to test with, and I'm pretty sure I'm never going to sell enough charging handles to make $1800 to pay for one, so R&D will be interesting ?

new benelli m4 is $1540 here in Kentucky.   namely BUDS GUNS

  9. theyre HORRIBLE design!!!!

    1. they promote dirt to fly into the piston system

    2. their attachment is nutty and junk (read the instructions on attaching them!)

    3. theyll chew your fingers up

    4.  make you wanna hang yourself taking them off and on to clean the gun more than once!!!

Just stay away from GG&G. I had one that would, periodically, fall out during cycling and finally broke leaving most of the shaft in the bolt.

youre the 1st ive heard anyone claim the GGG handle was a pooper.

one of mine has tons of abuse and is ok.

Hey all, so I purchased a new Benelli M4 Tactical 7+1 recently, it came in original packaging, everything checks out as the 11715 model with all the bells and whistles (full tube, night sights, rail, adjustable stock, pistol grip).  I made a minor modification with a custom mount to put on a RMR, and was finally ready to give it a run... only to run into a major issue.  It won't fully load.

Among the shells I purchased for it were Winchester Super X 1 Buck shot, in 2 3/4 inch size.  No matter what I do though i can not get it to load more than 6, and it's supposed to be rated for 7 at 3".  It makes no sense to me at all, I get the 7th shell in about 95% or so and it just hits a wall.  No movement past that, I've tried pushing as hard as I can with two thumbs and there's just no flex at all.  I should note that loading this is super super tight from the first round, but I've read that some others have had the same issue and it gets better after a couple hundred shots or so.

Have any of you heard of this?  I saw another forum post about an aftermarket solution that had the same issue, but this is 100% factory 7+1.  To confirm, it is not the model with the stopper, it has the full tube, I can see the full length of the spring when I take the cap off.

Just super bummed about this because of the price of the firearm, and it being my first Benelli I was expecting top notch quality.  This seems like a major defect, and if I have to ship it off to Benelli I have more downtime where I can't use it, and would probably have to strip off the RMR + mount as well to keep that safe.

    Noooooooooo, 7 at 2 3/4"

thats not a defect in your gun, rather in the SPECS and the ACTUAL length of your shells.   Most 2 3/4" shells are NOT actually really 2 3/4"  just sorta kinda.

If you make it a 7 round tube, it is no longer 'sporting' and you need to reduce the foreign part count by 4.

NOT TRUE..... you only need 4 parts if youre doing a collapsible stock AND a "normal" tube add on

If youre just doing a tube only, you need only THREE PARTS

Which parts can we replace on our Benelli M4 to obtain compliance? Federal law and the ATF told us that we must replace THREE parts from the following parts list to bring a BENELLI M4 semi-automatic shotgun into compliance:

    1. Receiver
    2. Barrel
    3. Bolt
    4. Bolt carrier
    5. Gas piston
    6. Trigger housing
    7. Trigger
    8. Hammer
    9. Disconnector
    10. Buttstock (with integral pistol grip)
    11. Forearm/handguard (forend)
    12. Magazine body
    13. Follower

Messing with the trigger group is a BAD idea,  and its far easier just to replace THOSE three parts highlighted in RED

  15. talked to 2 diff guys, the 1st one wasnt all that smart OR helpful, the 2nd was sharp as a tack.

    1. He told me that YES M4/ M2 / M1Super90 tube FOLLOWERS are all interchangeable...... i know about the diff colors / shapes between both factory ones, but that YES, theyre all interchangeable.

    2. He told me that YES Benelli knows that their charging handles on the M2 (tactical) and M4 absolutely SUCKS and that Benelli KNOWS THIS and that they ARE moving to create charging handles

people WANT to use (cough cough, like the ones from Freedom fighter tactical).

    3. That he AGREED that its DUMB that all civilian / LEO M4 ship with a modified choked rather than an IMP CYL (also included, meaning MORE than one choke with new gun).....since LEOs and those buying the M4 are really only shooting BUCK and SLUGS thru those guns and that the INCLUDED Modified choke is most def. "not recommended" by Benelli and he was told that yes, in most cases youre fine with rifled slugs with modified BUT BUT......Benelli says if your busting those slugs down the barrel that you "should drop in a IMP CYL choke"

.............. i dropped by my gun shop and bought 3 IMP CYL Benelli chokes for my 3 M4.......cause, you know, they didnt come with them (lame). ?

Reading a previous forum post I noticed that some models of the M4 could accept the collapsible stock, some can’t and need more parts? Thinking of buying, the model 11707 Ora different one?

all the modern M4 Benelli have the recoil tubes inside the stock with the notches etc. for slapping on a collapsible, ive done it 3 times myself

just buy a M4,  of course youll need to obey 922r law /compliance

i dont know WHEN they changed that if at all on any M4,... other models i dont know / aware.

I just bought my first Benelli shotgun. I purchased it from a friend and I was doing some reading on 922r compliance. He installed the collapsible stock and a us made follower. I believe  the magazine tube is also us made. Is there any preference on the trigger kits from Freedom fighter vs Benelliparts .net. .

    Thanks

Parroting the person above who told you DO NOT change out anything in the trigger group

Hes 1000% correct, its an INSANE idea, and ive heard endless horror stories from those that did.
