southpawshooter Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 I saw a similar thread on the Nova and was wondering - I shoot left handed but have always shot right handed guns. I prefer (I think) the loading/unloading of a right handed gun over a left hand as the cartridge port is directly facing the shooter. Is the safety on the SBE or SBE II reversible? If not, is this something a gunsmith can change? Quote
M1014 Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 Refer to your owners manual ,,,,go to the back on the exploded view sections, the trigger group page shows a tiny pin inserted perpendicular through the triggerhousing holding in a tiny spring and cup which rest on the saftey button. the pin holds the saftey botton///cup ///spring in place.now it depends on who removes the trigger group from the receiver and who knocks the pin out and turns the saftey button around and reverse proccessss. peace-love & Benellis [ 02-23-2004, 07:51 PM: Message edited by: M1014 ] Quote
southpawshooter Posted February 29, 2004 Author Posted February 29, 2004 Thanks M1014 - I haven't made my purchase yet as I am still researching options on the SBE right vs. left hand. consequently, no manual to view the process. I would like to hear from anyone that may have tried to reverse the safety. Is it as easy as it sounds? Quote
DJ Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 It's pretty simple. Takes about 5 minutes to do it. I've did a couple for a buddy of mine. Quote
