Has anyone seen the maxus interactive site,boy they are really trying to put the hurt on us.They show videos of the trigger groups locktimes,one is for sure a benelli's being the slowest.They also showed muzzle jump comparison against a benelli and beretta,benelli was the worst. It is a nice site too.

I'm with you the site is really really nice.

 

As far as the features go I think like most things its whatever the marketing wants you to believe. Like lock time, when was the last time you felt like you were limited by how fast your gun could physically shoot? Not that faster lock time isnt cool but sometimes you have to take things for what they are worth.

I believe lock time is a measure of the time between pulling the trigger and going "BOOM", but you're right. It's not usually such a big deal on a shotgun.

You are completely right. I was thinking more in terms of absolute speed for getting say 10 shots off. If one gun has 5ms more lock time but everything else is equal then the slower gun will always be 50ms slower...but like I said I cant remember the last time I was worried about being behind by .05 seconds.

Cycle speed has never been an issue for me either.

Perhaps if I were an exhibition shooter.

The Maxus looks like a nice enough gun.

Perhaps a bit more complicated than I like, but nice enough.

I like the turnkey plug removal.

Considering the shotgun has moved almost an inch (or something like that) from the recoil by the time the projectile(s) exit the muzzle...who cares about lock-time?
