awesome Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 hey, looking to buy a shotgun, but cant spend very much. id like to keep it under $700. ive looked at several shotguns including benelli, stoeger, and franchi. I understand they are all using the inertia driven recoil techno. what makes one $500, one $800, and one $1200. Thanks Quote

Lawndart Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I'd get a used SBE I. If you're patient, you should be able to find one for about $700. I'd rather have a used Benelli then a new one of the other brands you listed. Quote
Matt D Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 The real question is: What are going to shoot, upland, clays, waterfowl? Quote
JayBenelli Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) The real question is: What are going to shoot, upland, clays, waterfowl? Exactly. But I would definitely try and find a used Benelli over a Franchi or Stoeger, you wont be disappointed. I have an SBE2 and its the best all around gun I have ever owned. It will take anything you throw at it, I use mine for waterfowl, turkey, and clays. If you cant find a used Benelli, or want a new gun for around that price and are set on either Franchi or Stoeger I would go with an I-12, Ive heard good things about them, my buddy has one he loves it. Even cheaper but basically the same thing as the I-12 is the Stoeger model 2000, One of my friends has one and he says its a great gun for the price. In my opinion go with a used Benelli, but thats up to you in the end. Hope this helps! Edited June 8, 2009 by JayBenelli Quote
