alfred10
I almost bought an M4 today. I found a desert cammo one for 1400. It did not have night sites for some reason. Which ones dont have night sites? I thought all M4's did? What are the site options?
xamoel
actually NO m4 has night sights factory installed. they are ALL aftermarket solutions. only meprolight makes them specifically for the M4, though only in green tritium. i'm planning to get my OEM sights to tooltech gunsight, they will machine them to fit Trijicon bright & tough night sights, with white housing for better daytime shooting. needncash
Factory sights glow if they are illuminated for a second with a flashlight.
xamoel
really? should try that out when i'm home, didn't know that. but i guess hes talking about tritium, right?
needncash
He must be. They glow pretty good for a factory glowing site. I didn't know they did that until one night the power went out and the M4 was "on and ready."
Hookster
The Mepros are way better than whatever glow you get off the factory sights.
needncash
I would imagine the mepros are better but that would require spending more money to replace a glowing site with a brighter glowing site. Comes down to personal preference and mission specific requirementsfor me.
texas skeeter
i tested my m4 factory sights before i took them off. i just took my m4 out of its scabbard from under the bed. went into the garage, turned out the lights and found the front painted sight glowed real good but the backs were dark as night!! i couldnt even see them. now i have the mepros and they work awesome!! and the backs are not too blinding bright!! xamoel
tested that today, works well indeed. would you guys mind contacting wwwDOTtooltechgunsightDOTcom what they need for the installation of the Trijicon sights on the M4? i send them a mail, and they said i need to send my barrel, for heights of the sights?!? i answered them that they were ghost ring sights, but have no reply yet. would be really helpful if someone else would ask them! thanks. alfred10
It says on the website that they have optional night sites. I seen one in a shop and they where bright. Do they still sell them with the optional night sites?
