Veduci Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Has anyone replaced the Benelli recoil pad on the R1 with a Limbsaver pad etc.? If so, with what pad? Results? I replaced the Benelli pad on my Cordoba with a Limbsaver and it really helped. Thanks! Quote
Olga Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 The stock pad on the plastic stock is more than adequate I think. The whole stock is fine, this is one of the stronger sides of R1. Quote
tucker301 Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 I'm not sure you'll find a manufactured pad to fit the R1, especially not the wood stocked models. If the SBEII limbsaver doesn't fit it, then you're going to have to look at getting some gunsmithing done. A good smith would install an aluminum plate and then use a grind to fit pad to make it clean looking and professional. Probably at a cost of $125-$150. I would expect the limbsaver to do a better job than the stock pad. Quote
Veduci Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 The R1 is synthetic. I have asked Limbsaver if the make a replacement. I have not received nor shot the R1 yet so maybe the pad is ok BUT IF it is like the Cordoba, it will not be nearly as good as a Limbsaver pad. Thanks! Quote
