SBE II Finish

Getting ready to spend the $ and purchase a SBE II. Shot one the other night at the trap range and like the idea of going from target loads to 3 1/2's in the same gun.

Not used to these new dull finishes though. Considering finish and wear, any differences in durability Camo vs. Black synthetic??

What about future barrels? I have not seed a camo slug barrel for the SBEII?

The camo will come off if you get chemicals on it. (gun scrubber, etc.) I would think black would look better longer, but the camo sure looks good when new. Can't help you with the barrell question.

The black finish isn't particularly durable either.

Easily scuffs and seems thin to me, but it does wear well.

It is my intention to wear mine until I can't stand the sight of it anymore, then have a Gonkote finish applied.

I heard that you could take your SBE to Gander Mountain and they could redo the camo finish...
