fracas714
I have a M1 imported by H&K Chantilly VA, would this be from the late 80' s. Edited September 29, 2011 by fracas714
Sukhoi_fan
There's a two letter date code on the barrel. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/15713-Date-Serial-Number-Lookup-for-Benelli-Shotguns

socom1
I called Benelli with my serial # and they told me exactly when my gun was made .
BM4robbins
Several import batches arrived in non-ascending order of manufacture. Hypothetical example... gun #10 comes in prior to 922r, while gun #9 arrives after 922r, so be careful when comparing notes for 922r purposes. Also note BATF has this list and compares import date, rather than date of manufacture. One of my former armorers learned this the hard way, when attempting to register his hi-cap M1 at Ft Dix NJ.
