M4 5 +1 ?

Ok either I cant count or im missing something but i swear my M4 only holds 4 2.75 shells and one in the chamber. or this a "ghost load" thing....

Should have the ability for 5 + 1 + 1 but sometimes that can depend on your ammo. What are you putting in there and have you tried another brand?

Winchester (walmart special) Super-X 2.75 slugs or 00 buck so far. feel free to suggest other brands of ammo.

Some shells are 1/32" or 1/16" longer or shorter. Seems like a small amount, but remember to times by five shells. I have the full length tube and I am supposed to get 7 in it. With some brands the last shell needs another 1/8" of room. Do the math. Find a brand that

A. Fits

B. Patterns well

 

Then buy a butt load.

Update:

I am more and more impressed with the M4 by the day. after firing 50 2.75 heavy game load thru my M4 i took it home and reloaded it with my Walamart Winchester 2.75 00 buck and it took all 5 in the tube. I guess it just needed to be broken in a bit. Also that bad boy is zeroed in for 25 yards right out of the box. On a funny note. ther were cops a few stalls down from me and 2 of them came up and admired my M4....it's good to be king HAHA.

2. Mesa 8 shell sureshell carrier & rail.

3. Full lengh tube.
