Possible to swap out sights on M2Tactical?

I came across a pretty good deal in an M2 Tactical, but it has the rifle sights. Is it possible/easy to replace these with the ghost ring sights? If so, any sense of the cost and if I could do it myself, or is a gunsmith needed?

thnx!

Unless you REALLY know what you're doing, that's mostly a gunsmith job. The receiver will need to be drilled and tapped for the rear sight. Front sight on your barrel will need to be removed and new GR sight soldered on. If you really want one with GR sights, get one that is already so equipped. Any deal you make on the current gun will probably be offset by the cost of having new sights put on. My $.02 anyway.

What truckcop said is absolutely right on the button. Unless you are a very mechanically handy fellow, with the appropriate tools/skills, the cost of replacement will certainly exceed the added cost of a GR sighted M1T.

It will run you nearly $200 for the non-tritium LPA sight set that is fit to the M2T... now add labor.

Cheers,
