Placid
How do you remove the fore-end on a M2 Tactical? The manual says to slide it off, but mine dosent slide past the threaded part that the magazine cap screws on.
truckcop
So, how far does it slide? An inch? Five or six inches? Where is it catching? It went on over the magazine so it has to come off that way. The forend comes off as you slide it and the barrel forward. You are trying to take both off, right? Placid
I unscrew the magazine cap. Remove the spring, pull the barrel forward and then remove it. The fore-end is then loose on the magazine tube. The fore-end slides up to where the threads start on the magazine tube then dosent want to go further. I guess maybe I just need to use some force to get it off, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt doing something wrong.

The forend has a smaller diameter section in it that is a near light hand press fit over the tube. Pull and wiggle, pull and wiggle... it will come off.
