Yeah, I'd say that's a critical part and I wouldn't be firing it with that barrel ring broken. I'd see if you can get someone to weld it up/repair it for you.


10-12 years ago there were quite a few 121 M1 NOS replacement barrels floating around for about $100-110. I picked up a spare at that time. I haven't seen any for several years. When I sold my 121 M1 I advertised the NOS replacement barrel I had for it and someone immediately snatched it up (his father had gotten a mud plug in the barrel of his 121 M1 and that resulted in a split barrel). The fellow who bought that replacement barrel from me advised me that he'd been looking for months for a replacement barrel - he just happened onto the site where I had it listed, otherwise he'd still be looking I'm sure.
