Guest Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 What is a good snap round (e.g. dummy rounds) to use in Benelli 12 guage pump shotguns? I've seen several but they all seen to have issues. Quote
truckcop Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 For what purpose? Function check? Practice loading/unloading? I've used all of these. The first ones are closer to live-cartridge weight for dry-fire practice. The second ones are all plastic. Not as long-lasting due to plastic rims chipping. I like the third ones for function check. http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/cartridge-dummies/shotgun-dummies-prod31872.aspx http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/cartridge-dummies/saf-t-trainers-prod9923.aspx http://www.stactionpro.com/12-gauge-action-trainer-p-8.html?zenid=eba221e07db29f7c501266b021f40287 Quote
M4-Desert Camo Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I have the first ones from Brownells to practice loading and clearing. Also very useful to show someone who wants to fire my M4 for the first time how to load the gun and clear it during a range cease fire. Quote

They are expensive but worth it. Highly recommended. Quote
Axey Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 (edited) Also very useful to show someone who wants to fire my M4 for the first time how to load the gun and clear it during a range cease fire. WAT You shouldn't be handling firearms during a cease fire. Just throwing that out there. Edited April 7, 2013 by Axey Quote

I think he means how to load the gun, fire it, and then how to clear it when the RSO calls cease fire. I do the same thing with my snap caps: make sure the person can load the mag, load/chamber a round, aim, fire, then unload / make safe. Quote
