mau
Is there anything new about putting the collapsable stock on the M4/1014. According to the current benelli web site, it says the collapsable stock is available for civilians and legal under federal law. I know there has been much discussion over the past months, but with this statement on the web site, I wondered if something new has come out? stevenb
You reading from this page? http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/m4.tpl If you want one, do it. But it won't fit the Limited Edition or the 11703 without modification of the recoil tube assembly. If you have a 11707, you're golden and you can slap it on yourself. -Steve [ 03-11-2005, 08:34 AM: Message edited by: Nelli Girl ]

mau
That is the page I was referring to. I wonder if contacting Benelli directly would get you anywhere?

It hasn't so far.... when it comes to legal issues, the silence has been deafening. Which is kind of strange if all of these mod's are legal in the hands of Benelli customers in the U.S. Perhaps that's because it's still being worked on, but it would at least be nice to hear what that process is. Irish
I have the 2004 catalogue and the statement, "Legal under Federal law, check your state and local laws before purchasing." wasn't there. I can't imagine they would say that if it was still being worked. Is it so hard for Benelli to say yes we worked it out?
Rescue14
It would be appropriate for Benelli to now supply the M1014 owners the recoil tube that will allow our collapsible stock to work as allowed under the law. Anyone had any luck?
JChilders
doesn't this go against the letter that was posted here by BATF?
StarLynx
Geez1..Maybe it's being done this way..because they want people to just "POLICE THEMSELVES"...Instead having the ATF guys getting pushed into forcing their hand & FULLY enforcing a bunch'a stupid laws that don't do anything to prevent Criminals from using such weapons ,anyway...If ya want the stock,& YOU can afford it...& it's available..BUY IT..if not..Be happy with a stock that does not "ADJUST"....If you do buy the stock...& you put it on your Benelli M4...I wouldn't get caught Robbing any banks with it..cuz..otherwise..ya might catch a felony case Is anybody with this question..catching the drift??... sonny27
Customer service said that it is perfectly legal to attach the collapsible stock and mag extension to the M4super90. They can't import the m4 into the country with these features. Once it is here you may add these accessories. She also said Benelli's lawyers have confirmed this with the BATF. Customer service phone number is 301-283-6981 if you would like to confirm.
helmethair78
It takes someone from IN to get the final word.

Since this issue seems so controversial, did customer service offer to send any documentation from the Benelli lawyers and BATF regarding this? Irish
I doubt they will. I would be happy if they posted the letter on their website.
Double_wield
I find it interesting that they state it's adjustable for 3 length settings. Must have changed it in response to user comments.
