Seriously considering going up to a full length magazine tube instead of just an extension. Wondering what the weight of them is so I can decide if an aftermarket titanium tube is worth it or should I stick with factory OEM.

Factory OEM is 10.5 ounces, Not sure on the ti.

FFT lists their steel tube as 10.3 ounces and their Ti tube as 5.4 ounces. Debate rages on, but here is the low-down.

Screw-on extensions are the worst. They're the heaviest, introduce a lip that shells can hang up on, and hard to be compliant.

Full length steel tubes are a good choice.

Full length titanium tubes are lightweight and corrosion resistant. The benefits here are minimal, but benefits nonetheless.

Hmm... what's 2 3/4" buckshot weigh? Something like 1.2 ounces? So going with the titanium will save about 5 shells worth of weight on the front of the shotgun? Makes the extra 50% cost of the titanium a lot more appealing now.

Like was said , this topic comes up once and a while... here is the dope.

Steel (my steel FL tube) 8.8 oz , with a full 7 rds = 23.8 oz.

TI tube about 5.7 oz , with a full 7 rds = 20.7 oz.

If you want a quality steel one , I have a couple ready to ship [email protected]

I can not justify spending an extra $100 to save 5 ounces. Shooting light weight shotguns sucks.

If ya really feel the need to shave off five ounces, i would suggest a bit of gym time.
