Fbart
I have a M1 super 90 sn M261xxx and I started to replace recoil spring. When I went to remove the stock, the recoil spring housing unscrewed from the receiver before the nut came loose from stock. I need to hold the threads of the recoil spring tube so i can remove the nut holding the stock on the assembly. What is the thread size where the tube goes into the receiver? My plan was to get two thin nuts and use them so I could keep the assembly from rotating. Open to other suggestions
remarkable
Did you heat the recoil spring tube plug assembly which would loosen the locktite? The trick is to hold the recoil spring tube without marring it up when removing plug assembly. Having worked on close to 900 Benelli I had a press built which clamps down on the tube and is hard rubber coated. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, My problem is that I can not get the recoil spring plug assembly out of the stock because it came out of the receiver before the nut came off the other end that secures to the stock. remarkable
Can you take a photo of this. The threads on the recoil spring tube are either 19 MM or 21 MM depending on the year the gun was built.
Fbart
Thanks for help. I was able to clamp the other end without damaging the threads. Now to heat those threads and get that spring out.
Schroeder
I was recently advised to replace recoil spring to a stiffer one as gun would cycle fine until we installed a salvo 12 then it seemed to want to keep the shell. Would eject partially. The springs are back ordered at Wolf but wondering if this sounds right? The gun is a later model HK super 90! any advice is greatly appreciated
remarkable
The fine fold at Accurate Arms have Wolff OEM Power Spring and 25% Increase Springs. I buy all of my Wolff Springs from them. Buy one of each and give them a try. The 25% Increase spring was designed for heavy loads.
