huntingsonny Posted December 29, 2004 Share Posted December 29, 2004 hi, i am new to the forum,went out a bought me a nova slug gun a couple of weeks ago and put a leupold vx-ll 2x7x33 shotgun on it. i like the way it handles and shoots BUT MAN THAT PUMP ACTION IS NOISY.any one have any pointers on how to quite it down.i didn't realize just how nosiy the action was untill i was in the woods hunten.but you live and learn,no what i mean.any body know where i might fine a smooth bore that takes chocks at a good price.any way HUNT SAFE & ENJOY IT. While it isn't great if your trying to be quiet while hunting it is nice if it's a home prot. gun.(Tactical,H20, etc.) An intruder is bound to hear you loading a shell and high tail it out of there! I plan on yelling out that I'm releasing a 110lb cane corso and that I'm waiting with a loaded shotgun. In my state you can't shoot someone for intruding. Your life needs to be in danger, no option of escape. I work at a gun range that teachs home defense class's monthly.
