msm1018
While Pheasant hunting with my dad, his SBE wouldn't cycle at all, only after fiddling with it in the garage, then the firing pin wouldn't go. All it would do is click. He cleaned it real well and then oiled it good. He hasn't shot it since. Any suggestions?
DJ
Have you checked the locking head pin? Mine did a similar thing one time and my locking head pin was broke in half.

mudhen
You had better learn how to field strip a Benelli before you go any further, that is just common safety sense. With firing pin problems, the last thing you do is keep trying to fire live shells. Obtain a copy of the factory Benelli instructions and read the section of disassembly and reassembly of the bolt assembly. I am guessing that something has broken or is clogged with all that 'good' oil and crud. Benellis are intended to be shot clean with very light oil. For parts nomenclature, I suggest reading the schematics on www.brownells.com. mudhen - CA

DJ
Small round piece in the bolt assembly that the firing pin goes through. Looks like a small cylinder with a hole in it.
