Will a benelli field stock fit onto an m3 LE (11608)?

Hello, first and possibly last post here. I’ve been doing research on this but this particular question has seem to be unanswered. There’s a guy on here named Doge who shows up in similar posts so I hope he knows.

I live in WA, and under our current laws an m3 is technically illegal to buy/ bring in. However, if it has a straight field stock on it, it’s fine. The plan is to buy one out of state, mod it, and bring it back, or I send the stock to a dealer and then they ship it to me after installing it. I actually already have the stock, I bought one locally.

I would prefer to buy an 11608, since it has the features already installed that I would put on anyways. I believe ratworx sells them and I’ve heard of a store in Texas to call. Now I’m 98% sure that my stock will fit an m3 but since what I’ve seen so far is people attaching them to 11606 I’m worried. I assume the telescoping stock means it has a different recoil tube. Will the LE model properly interface with a field stock?

I bought mine used but I am fairly certain it is this one https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/60516

I don’t have one yet, they are (technically) illegal here. Is there a way to tell what kind it is? Or did they change the m3 receiver to have more parity between models? Like if I bought a new m3 right now, it would be pretty much guaranteed to be the m2 profile?

If you buy a new M3 it will be the m2 receiver type and the stock you have will fit like the pic I posted. The alternative would be to buy a super nova field stock or possibly a m2 stock might work. But the m2 has recently gone through a change so make sure its not the new generation m2.

And that applies to both the 11608 and the 11606? There’s no difference in mounting a stock to them?

thanks for the heads up with the stocks, guess I’ll start looking for a different one. So the supernova stock would work if I bought a new one, but if I buy an m2 stock it needs to be older? When was the design changed?

@John Doe I suppose just the curiosity and “niche-ness” of it. A lot of people don’t even know the m3 exists which I find attractive, it’s fun to show things to people they’ve never seen before. It also kinda fills the role of 2 guns since you can change the action. So really I’m saving money haha

Fair enough. I like the M3 as well but I really wanted to get the M4 first because ever since I was a kid and saw them being used by the military I fell in love with them. I plan on getting the M3 also as soon as I finish building on my M4. Hope it all works out for you. Post some pics when you get it, would love to see them.

Yes, both the 11608 and 11606 are the same in how the stock mounts. In fact the 11608 uses the same adjustable stock as the Super Nova tactical.

Heres the difference in m3 receivers. The top is the older and the bottom is the current.

Did you look at the pics I posted of the difference between the old m3 vs the new? The old m3 essentially have the m1 super 90 receiver. The newer m3 (which is more than likely what you'll get) have the m2 receiver. I literally bought the same stock you did and found out the hard way. Botach has the supernova comfortech stocks on sale right now. Just pick one up and you'll have a comfortech field stock for you m3.

My bad, didn't realize you were the same guy... I guess I'll just bite the bullet and get this one. I may try to buy an m2 stock locally though, do you know how the front of it looks? Or dimension wise? I am assuming based on your photos it is the same profile as the stock I have but a bit more bulbous? (by front I just mean the attachment point, like the photo I submitted with the tape measure)

The supernova stock contours the m3 perfectly.

Just put a super nova comfortech stock on my M320240830_144913.thumb.jpg.245f766c01704680322489fffe5761ee.jpg20240830_144855.thumb.jpg.e32917c8d8993aed0a2655f2e849824e.jpg

This looks awesome. Should help with recoil too as M3 is inertia. Do you have a chance to compare recoil of this setup with M4?

Yes, while the new stock helps the m3 quite a bit, it still isn't as soft as my m4.
