lmechols25 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 I have a question for the group. I purchased a SBE 1 (Year Code “BT” = 2003) here recently that has a 24” barrel and a pistol grip stock. I seem to have the factory manual, case, etc that looks to be made to fit said pistol grip. However, when I look online, I cannot find another SBE 1 set up this way. Anyone care to share thoughts or knowledge? Quote
remarkable Posted February 21 Posted February 21 How well does the camo pattern appear to match between the stock and the receiver, the barrel and the reciever? There was a pistol grip for a SBE 1 that was made however that does not truly answer your question. Quote
bambihunter Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Dedduc has it correct. They were labeled and sold as the ultimate turkey gun. While uncommon, they aren't exactly rare. And, though uncommon, I've not found them to increase the value even to people like myself that prefer the SBE 1. This is in part due to the fact that the pistol grip generally makes wing shooting more difficult. Not impossible, just more difficult. There were a lot of M1's sold with pistol grips, and if memory serves, they share the buttstock with the early SBE's. I have 2 pistol grip stocks that I bought 25+ years ago, one is still in factory wrap, one I used one season and took it back off even though my intention was to have one SBE configured for turkey or use with my slug barrel, the other for everything else.
