rookie Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Hi, my new M1 seems to have a stuck bolt handle. I'm trying to pull it off with a firm tug, as the instructions indicated, to strip the gun down. The bolt handle is stuck, any ideas ... I'm thinking I shouldn't fire the gun until I get this sorted out. Also, I wished that Benelli can improve their manuals, given the premium paid for these firearms. Quote
threeshot Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 I have a difficult time getting the bolt handle off my SBEII. Try taking an old pair of shoelaces and take one pair of the shoelace and wrap it once or twice around the base of the bolt handle and pull. Works for me. Quote
birddog Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 ///.... and when that doesn't work use a bigger hammer! Quote
djansma Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 I always wrap a rag around the bolt and twist and pull David Quote
rookie Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 Threeshot & djansma, you're all genius ... the bolt is off now ... now to continue the rest of the stripping ... Thank god I didn't have to use birddog advice ... by the way, the M1 just fires surperb, only problem is me ... just continue to shoot more I guess ... Again, thanks everyone for the advice ... Quote
mudhen Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Needlenose pliers to lever the bolt off works for me until a new Benelli is broken in a bit. I use a scrap of leather under the pliers to avoid dings. mudhen - CA Quote
