rzmitchv4
Newbie looking for suggestions for a great case and cleaning kit for a new M4? Thanks! Mitch
MikeyZ
Hey man, you're in luck on the case suggestion. I researched this pretty well for my M4. My suggestion, by far, is the Pelican 1750. It's rugged, FAA approved, air-tight, water-tight, dust-tight, and the thing even floats if you ever drop it overboard during one of your overseas excursions It comes with flat foam that you can cut yourself specifically to fit the M4 like a glove, and there is room in there for other things too, like optics, lights, whatever. They give you very simple and effective instructions on how to cut the foam. Easy. This will run you about $185 online. I got mine through Boss, Inc. As for the cleaning kit, not sure. I am going to get a bore snake soon, as I have one for .45 and 9 mm and they work quite well. I'm sure others can chime in on this.
adamlau
The Otis Combat Shotgun Cleaning System works well (although I also opted for a Tipton rod and Bore Tech patch holder). The same parts and accessories as the standard Otis Shotgun Cleaning System, but with blackened bronze and blackened cleaning rods.
Duggan
http://www.stormcase.com/StormSizeList.htm Pelican cases are good, storm cases are amazing. I'd highly suggest you check them out to see the difference for yourself.

The storm case is what I have pretty soon my black M4 will join my Ruger 10/22 in that case
