An update for you all. After a full year tweaking the initial design, and almost 2 years since starting this concept, I am finally happy with the end result! I came up with a magazine cap that has 3 detents in it, which locks into the front heatshield bracket divots. It has amazing retention, even when loose it has great retention ability (I tested it loose and it didn't move due to the spring force of the dents locked into the divots). The new packaged product will include the 6061-T6 Heatshield, Titanium 6AL-4V mag cap with 3 spring detent plungers in it, and the steel bracket to interface with the mag cap. I am happy to say, production is underway, and the fall 2024 is when these will be mailing out. I'll be recording an installation video soon, it is very easy and straightforward. Price is tentatively set around the $299 mark for all the components. The RMR rail is looking like $78, and the Picatinny is $48. These are all subject to change before I launch these on the site.
