  1. Yep, I'd had a few people tell me that, different bore dia. but same thread pattern.
  2. Any update? I measured mine, the length of the tube and where the bottom of the recess and they were the same length, so the choke fits right, not sure why there is a bump.
  3. Not seen that one but its a pretty common practice for shooters to replace the map cap with an aftermarkt one that weights more.
  4. This is just as easy (assuming its like the SBE) first pull out the **** bolt handle, its in the way (read the book to make sure you can pull it out) once you do that, push the bolt all the way back so it locks into place. then put the grip on the barrel and then slide both of those onto the receiver. Screw on the endcap and put the bolt handle back in. that should be pretty much it.
  5. do you mean that red thing that was under the bolt? I have never seen a Legacy before but hte SBE1/2 are pretty much the same and I don't know a piece of plastic. you got a digital camera?
  6. I'll try to cehck over the weekend.
  7. Do me a favor and look down your barrel for the choke fit. Is there a noticeable gap where the choke meets the barrel? Then run an object down the barrel (like a pen with a square end) and tell me if you can feel a pretty good "bump." To me it feels like the choke is a bit short and doesn't seat all the way. Thx
  8. Benelli stock Mod for the SBEII is .703. Jeff @ Briley said that is what it should be for a .721 barrel.
  9. benddg: Nope, but I will ask them to do it when I visit Briley (hopefully tomorrow)
  10. I'm betting the one that was in it when it shipped, the SBE2 comes with the 'B' shim, or at least mine did.
  11. Anyone on the 'fuge here? That is indeed the million dollar question, just about everything I have read says .721. I had mine miced today at Briley, .721. They are building me a X2 LM with the same THREADS as the X-gun, but for a smaller bore. I think the chokes for the Sport II will fit the SBE2 and have the same bore but I haven't had a chance to test them yet.
  12. its not that bad. I shot mine for the first time today and forgot to take off the safety before I shot and I was able to take it off on the fly pretty easily. **** the one on my 682 Gold E Sporting (easily double the price of the SBE2 is harder to push off) True it is not as smooth as the SBEI but it shouldn't keep someone from buying the gun.
  13. Read it carefully, the SBE2 'C' shim is the SBE 'D' shim.
  14. Some very interesting reading. http://www.refugeforums.com/refuge/showthread.php?s=&threadid=245382
  15. Has anyone miced their barrels yet? I'm getting two different reports on the dia. thx
  16. I got mine last night, 28" camo and no marks.
  17. soap and water to clean the camo.

  19. Got mine into today, **** that is a hard safety. I compared it to my SBE and my Nova, much harder. Before I cut on it, I'm waiting for a response from Montefeltro.

    Nova help

Normal, I kinda like it. Helps me know if I reloaded or not.
  21. FIB: With re: to the pad, I've had my Nova since they first came out (summer of 99 I think) and man, I don't baby it at all, still going strong.
  22. So who has patterend the SBE2? If so, what do you think? Thx
