    Recoil

you cannot get a aftermarket pad because of the way the pads on the M2/SBE2/Nova attach. They are all press fit instead of screw on. My buddies who go told me to get a PAST pad. Have you had any luck with shooting gloves that old up more than a day? Some guys told me to take Vaseline and put it on your face where the gun touches to prevent it from rubbing raw.

    Which to Buy?

the M2 is a recoil gun so it does kick more than a gas gun. its also a bit lighter than most comparable guns so that doesn't help the recoil. i'd try to find a range where you could shoot both and try, but i subspect a 391 with a good pad is the way to go.
  3. I had three different swivels that did not fit the SBE2. Seems the stud is too short. I finally found an uncle mikes one that will work but its steel. I don't like metal cause it will rust and usually use plastic, but oh well it works.
  4. nope that is incorrect. the D shim for the SBE1 is the same as the C shim for the SBE2.
  5. Good luck man, if its a synthic stock you are gonna have trouble. If its wood, they may be able to help you with that one.
  6. http://shotshell.drundel.com/patterns/ I hope that narrows it down for you but for me, it seemed the Estate and Xpert HV did the best. Oh and B&P but good luck finding them.

    worn part

Any place there is metal to metal sliding action, i put a light coat of grease there, then I wipe down most of the inside of the gun with a cleaning patch with oil on it. so far so good.

called stove piping. some benellis are famous for this with cheap oil. i would strip it down and clean everything and then LIGHTLY oil it with something like miltec-1 or fp-10. i work with a guy whose M1 works the best when its almost dry and some i know swim theirs in CLP so... but first i'd try my first suggestion.
  10. Nope, not with a new gun. I'd take it back to the dealer and/or call Benelli.
  11. One thing noone ever posts up is that Italty takes like two months off in the summer for vacation. Just about every factory worker is included.

    Slings

Where did you get the AA&E sling at?
  15. Upland04: I bet you are not keeping all the gas out. Make sure when you put the tube in you put a fair amount around the skirt and on the bottom of the threads so gas can't get between the choke and the barrel.
  16. I asked a buddy and here is his reply Re: lead question The answer to that question will depend on the size shot he intends to shoot and whether the loads are buffered or unbuffered. As you saw from my patterning of the .675" Terror and lead 7 1/2's through 5's, the choke produced even, but not exceptionally tight patterns. A good turkey choke in .685" to .665" would probably have given tighter patterns, at least with the slower loads. I don't have a .655" Terror, so I don't know how it may compare with the standard turkey chokes. Also, I don't know if he intends to shoot buffered or non-buffered loads. Generally, buffered lead loads can be shot through tighter chokes without pattern deterioration than unbuffered lead loads. If he wants to shoot as far as he says, he probably should be shooting Hevishot and using the .655" Terror. It's hard to hold lead shot together that far, particularly in a 12ga.
  17. nice. we tried to get the flame from my .454 but it never did work out.
  18. I had to buy a deep socket to take the nut off. Check where the bolt closes, the extractor must go all the way down. Check for dirt in the barrel.

    sbe2

Glad you like it. I'm just counting the days to dove and duck season!
  22. The SBE? No, if you just cycle the action with a shell already in there and NOT press the small button on the bottom it will just eject the shell in the chamber without loading one from the mag. I use that all the time when change from duck to goose load. Totally love the feature.
