  1. never seen one but if its like the sbes, take off the end cap, get some snap ring pliers and take out the springs, the plug, and that follower and you have an empty tube to dry and clean.
  2. i hunt in salt water and the matte finishes are worthless there, either get camo, or get matte and have it teflon coated.
  3. None that I know off because of the pressue fit on the Novas pad. You might look at a slip on pad over the nova, or get the mecury recoil reducer for it.
  4. Nice on the SS! I likes the looks of them. I have a 391 Gold Sporting (non-Tekneys), they are some sweet, soft shooting guns.

    Almost here

i've heard there are lots of birds down already. gonna be a great opening weekend.
  6. close yoru eyes and mount the gun, then open them, are you looking flat down the barrel, above or below? If you are looking above, then you need to lower the stock, below, then raise the stock.
  7. I want a Bolthandle like that for my SBE1/2 but not quite that big. When wearing thick gloves, they current one can be a bit tough to grab.
  8. Oyster: I've used just about everything in my Nova with very few problems over the three years I hunted it a lot. As far as oils, about anything works in the Nova. SBE seem to work a bit better with some more expensive oils, but I always soaked my Nova with rem oil or corrosoin-x red. I would get some gun grease and put on the rails and other metal to metal sliding parts, but other than that, its a tough gun and will work through just about anything.
  9. RK: It was hit and miss, much different than in years past. I still got in some good shooting.
  10. if you are shooting at 35+ yards, get a .675 or .655 Terror tube from SRC. http://www.surecycle.com/
  11. 3.5 faststeel are jamming. My buddy and I have shot LOTS of 3" through our SBE with no problems. As far as FUD, a buddy said they look great in a slight wind. If I had to walk a lot, I would buy some.
  12. bluedavis: Rut. A lot of my buddies do the same thing. I'm kinda in a rut as well, i split out a jalpeno and fill it full of cream cheese and put it next to the bird, wrap it in bacon and put it on the grill.
  13. http://www.refugeforums.com/refuge/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=367946&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending Hevi-steel is a new kinda of non-toxic that has a density of 9, where lead is 11, steel is 7 and Hevi-Shot is 12.
  14. Robert II: I asked my buddies who have been to SA about using mag extentions and none of them do. That kinda makes me wonder...
  15. i haven't read about anyone patterning them with HS yet. I've shot a few steel with my IC and they are pretty even.
  16. I'm kinda toying over the same thing for when(if) I go to south america. I think right now I am leaning towards a 391 Sporting 20. It weights more than the normal 20 ga. so it hopefully will be easier on my shoulder.
  17. No. I have a SBE1 with x-coil pad and I can't tell a difference.
  18. i'd say screw. the SBE1/2 and Nova all screw in.
  19. nope, but i bet it is. soemoen else said they called Benelli today and they said they sent out some guns with faulty pads (too small) and that makes more sense cause my pad is a b**** to get off my SBE II.
  20. that makes more sense cause mine is a b**** to get off.
  21. Sport II or SuperSport are their clay guns. But a quail gun is usually a 24" barrel gun and a clay gun is usually a 28 or longer barrel.
  22. look on the fuge, some people have bought some there.
  23. a lot of us have posted up on the fuge about them. most have good things to say. check out my patterning page, they did good for me.
  24. Is anyone else thinking silicone adhesive is just caulk?
