  1. I have miltec-1 as well. Its nice and think and I bet it will work just fine. But I have a lot of briley tube grease that I use, once it runs out, I'll probably pick between miltec-1 vs. fp-10. last year my SBE was stove piping a lot late seaon using corosion-x as the only oil and i think it was just getting too dirty. my buddy had the same problem using rem oil. he went to fp-10 and i miltec-1. i'm gonna do a test. clean both sbe and sbe2 VERY well and use miltec-1 one and fp-10 on the other and see which jams first.

  3. i use PLENTY of thick grease on my tubes, mainly to help seal them and keep out gas.

    SBE ejection

what we call stove pipeing is when it partly ejects the shot hull and its hung up in the action so the hull is 90 degres to the action.

    SBE ejection

If I'm reading you right its called stove piping. My buddy and I had that problem last year even shooting duck and goose loads. What we did that worked, was break it down, clean it real well, and use higher quality of oil. My buddy uses FP-10 and I tried Miltec-1. Both are much smoother than before and no more stovepipes. Get it a shot.
  6. Yea, i heard the first ones went out and they (Benelli) had a delay on the second batch. I don't a dealer locally that I trust, so I'm hoping to find one of the online places that carries them. I guess I need to call ol' Joel E. and see if he can get one. Thx
  7. Duck, Where did you get it? thx
  8. http://shotshell.drundel.com/patterns/5.jpg I noticed that with an aftermarket choke it was a bit high. You can see my orange square was my aiming pint. I found Kent didn't pattern very well in many of shots.
  9. You talking about using it for wingshooting or at turkey/deer?
  10. Montefeltro or anyone else, any details about when this will be release, how much and where I can get it? Thx
  11. Oh, and if you guys need a field tester for South America, just drop me a line, I'm single and have no problem traveling.
  12. MUCH better than before. Its still a bit more stiff than my SBE/Nova, but far and above less than the stock one. And the guy who put it in was pretty good, I couldn't find a punch mark anywhere on the assembly. Thanks Craig!
  13. all the duck hunters who have tried the x-coil think it is the softest. no complaints from me after firing about 50 3.5 steel and 10 3.5 2oz. TM loads.
  14. Your item was delivered at 10:01 am on July 15, 2004 in ACCOKEEK, MD 20607 Sweet!!!
  15. I sent mine off this morning, should get there before Friday.
  16. When SC shooting today. I shot 78 on a soft red (hardest course). I was screwing around too, i would have easily been in the mid 80 is I was shooting tourney style (ie no true doubles and chaging chokes and stuff). Anyways, I was very happy with it. I was shooting 1oz. loads and only two times it hung up. It ejected the shell but the bolt didn't go all the way back. Recoil didn't bother me, but it was only 1oz. loads. I like.
  17. Montefeltro: Will we be shipping you the trigger assem. or are y'all gonna send us the spring? Thx
  18. Ok after seeing MANY people post up that they have this problem, lets start a form letter so each person can send it in to let Benelli know there is a problem and to create a record of the problem. I'm not the best writer, but I'll start and if you think it needs to be changed, post up the suggestions and I'll change it. ------------- Dear Benelli, I purchased a ____ from ____ on _____ and upon inspection the safety is very stiff and requires much more pressure to turn it off and on than normal. I have compared it to my (insert guns) SBE, Nova, 391, and several 1100 and it is by far the stiffest. Could you please advise me on a solution once you have one for this problem? Sincerely, ... --------------- Like i said, it ain't the best but its decent. Ok, now we need an e-mail address to send it to. Anyone?
  19. I need to chage my post but i can't. the 391 gen 2/x-gun/sbe2 are the same threds but different bore dia. so you can't safely change them out. and as far as the m1/m2, if the m2 is chrio i bet its different.
  20. As long as its before Sept 1st I'm happy. I haven't dropped my trigger assem. yet but what do you guys think will be the fix? Lighter spring or as someone else said, polish that one pin?
  21. Very detailed and good review. One thing, its a meat gun, not a sport gun. Sport II and SS are the clay guns. birddog: I took my out to see how easy it was, i think mud will get in there but shouldn't be too bad.
