Got no gap on mine either just got it today so they might have made a change.

Just got mine installed and I like it. no gaps, looks very nice, will have to see how it fires with all this expensive rubber and metal.

If the shoty was imported after the 1989 ban you can have the long tube but not with the pistol grip. You would need to use the field stock in order to be legal with the long tube. That or replace the correct number of parts with USA made parts to make it legal

P.S. Both of my two HK Benellis have different serial numbered barrels and I have always heard that was just the way it is.

This is from an old site that was up before the 94 ban ended, only thing I ever saw on benelli preban serial numbers. Benelli (imported by H&K) (703) 450-1900 I called H&K and they couldn't/wouldn't specify the "cutoff" serial number for pre/post ban Benelli's. Given this, the best we can do is post assorted serial numbers and import dates that will help you guess. If anyone comes up with a cutoff number, please let me know, and also please let me know any serial numbers and dates that you run by H&K.
