  1. Here is one for the money http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=39665072 my favorite shotgun in the world!!!!!!!!!! well that an my M3T
  2. I like the SPAS-12 just OK but the LAW 12 is a killer. It is a gas gun so recoil is low and the stock folds over tight unlike the big stickup on the Benelli. I can load 8 in the tube with one in the pipe and one on the gate and I know of no other 10 round tactical on the market. Don't get me wrong, I love the Benelli but the divertor and low recoil of the LAW makes me have to keep both of them. The Benelli wins on looks but still can't turn my back on low recoil especialy now that I am getting longer in the tooth. Take care, FN-FAL and stay tactical
  3. Thanks FN_FAL, some of my best friends are dealers and you are right, in fact most of the know it alls at gun shows are privates with a table full of S--t that they have buggered up and they are now trying to pawn off on newbies. I have a 26 inch barrel, standard butt stock and a long plug for my M3 that I sometimes put on to domesticate my beast for a little dove hunting but I will admit that I usualy take along my Beretta 686 Silver instead. It is just fun to see the looks I get with the M3 sometimes.
  4. Some dealers show have the guts to admit they don't know because in your case they don't. I have 2 M3's After you press the release and move the pump about 1 inch down, it stays unlocked as a pump gun until you lock it back in the semi auto position. Both of mine are HK's so that tells you how long I have had them. One is a M3T which is the old HK with a upward folding stock and the other is a pistol grip model. I have several hundred rounds through the pistol and only a handful through the folder. I promise you are right and the dealer is wrong.
  5. Will have to look this weekend, traveling till then.
  6. I have two Early HK M3 Imports, no rust in sight
  7. The same guy has the same M3 on guns america http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976593202.htm
  8. Not mine, just providing a public service, I am sure this wont last long last I saw went for $2600.00 http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/semi4sale.cgi?read=112151
  9. "Weight is a major issue, and is being dealt with in many different ways. There are a few other "features" that are being developed with this project that will make the weight penalty null." Oh, the old helium filled Surefire, Right? Just messing with ya, I love my M4 and it is pretty neat right out of the box so there has to be a compelling reason for me to stick something on to it. I really have trouble coming up with anything I need to add to it with the possible exception of a light. I don't believe I need a rail system for that. I think there is a need for these but it is probably in the LE or Military area. But I also know there are those that have to have every accessory that might be of use to tack on the sides, top, and bottom of their firearms and my attitude is more power to them. It is your money and your biceps. I wire my boat trailer lights not my shotguns.
  10. That is possible but if it is akin to your humor, then, no, it wouldn’t work for me.
  11. 1. If you get your Brownells catalog out you will see that aside from some forend cap detent parts that start at serial number MO96546 all the other parts apear to be the same. 2. Yes, 80046- M1/M3 Special Purpose Synthetic Stock with Pistol Grip, non-adjustable drop, fits M1/M3 *Sling plate not included. This stock will not accept the 11oz. Mercury Recoil Reducer. This stock also fits M1 Field and Super Black Eagle. MSRP is 95.00 Cal's has them for $85.00 3 none really except as noted in number 1 no need to update, THEY WORK. 4. The same things you need to know if buying any shotgun used. If new, hey it's a Benelli. 5. in my opinion HK helped establish Benelli in the LE market but the LE buyers quickly found out who the Manf. was and then Benelli was able to go direct. also HK has a marketing plan that includes their label on a varity of products where they can get the best margins and that helps unknown products. On the other hand look at the new Benchmade HK knives. Benchmade is farely well known in the none knife nut area but I can buy a Benchmade Auto for the price of a HK labeled liner lock. I would recomend that you find a pre89 ban HK M3 with a long mag extension and a pistol grip because you can always buy the standard stock and a magazine plug but if you buy a post ban M3 it would be a violation of the law to install both a mag extension and a pistol grip at the same time. One or the other, but not both. should shop around and find one in the 9-1100 range depending on finnish. Hope this helps Mike
  12. $300 at Cals here is the link, look at the bottom of the page http://www.calssportingarmory.com/BenelliBarrels.htm [ 04-30-2005, 08:40 PM: Message edited by: jmikesteen ]
  13. Thanks, I know they make a rifled slug barrel for the Nova but I have never seen one for the M3 I need to do some more checking. sniff sniff,
  14. Tucker where did you see slug barrel in the m3 specks? As far as I know there are 3 barrels only for the M3 two 20's with cylinder bore (1 ghost and 1 rifle sights) and the 26 inch with removable chokes. If there is a rifled I would love to have one. 15. Those folders on those shotguns are completely legal because they are pumps. Since 89 it has been ileagal to import a semi auto shotgun that holds more than 5 rounds or has a folding stock. Why do you supose we can't buy the pretty M3T or the SPAS 15 shown on the Benelli LEO page? Believe me if it was legal they would be in the stores today and not going for $4500 in the case of the SPAS 15 and about $2600 for the M3T. It also stoped the Franchi SPAS 12 and the LAW Folder. I have a LAW and a M3T and I guess I will leave them to my Son cause I am not selling them. Just a few years ago you would see one or two M3T's on Gun Broker but I have not seen one for the last year. You can't convert your M3 because it is illeagal to convert any shotgun to a configuration that became un importable in 89. If you had a preban shotgun (a HK M3 imported before 89) it has the long mag tube and I supose you could get away with the conversion as I don't think serial number indicated if it is a folder or a fixed but is it worth it if some ATF yahoo decides he wants to see you behind plexaglass talking to Mom? Not to me anyway, go looking and pay the man and get an M3T you can take to the range without glancing around to see who is looking. my 2 cents. 16. This falls under the 89 ban not the 94. This is an "imported shotgun" and as such can not be configured in a maner of guns thaqt were banned from import in 89. That is why the M3 folder stoped being avaliable in 89 not 94. Do you not think that Benelli would be selling the M3 folders here if they could? That is what makes the M4 deal so weird. From looking at the law they "Should" not be able to sell the M4 with a colapsable stock here right now. Do do do do , do do do do. You can have all the opinions you want, the law is the law.
  17. But again, it is against the law. remember that.... they git ya. [ 02-04-2005, 07:01 PM: Message edited by: jmikesteen ]
  18. PS. Brownells seems to have all the parts but remember you need to change out the barrel as well because of the folder catch on the rear sight mounted on the barrel.
  19. Yep, that is the way I make my M3's hold 9 and my Franchi LAW-12 hold 10
