  8. Yes, I have corrected it to bolts. I was confused due to the fact that I have HK 91s which use a similar design using bolt/carriers. Thank you for the input. Best, Robert

    Which M1 to buy

If you plan to use the slug barell get it first as there are used bird barrells for sale at reduced prices. I have not seen used slug barells for sale. Best, Robert
  10. Only the "newer" bolts have the 2nd grove, same as the forward one. I do not have picture avalable. Best, Robert [ 01-31-2005, 06:30 PM: Message edited by: Robert II ]
  11. It is not illegal if the use is legal. That is why we have magazine limiters for specific hunting i.e. upland/migratory bird hunting. There are many other hunts that have no restrictions on shell capasity. I wrote about the SBE/Montrefeltro(20) some time ago on this forum. I am not sure if it applies to rthe SBE II. Do a search on it. Best, Robert "floating the fourth round" is the post [ 01-30-2005, 05:42 PM: Message edited by: Robert II ]

    05 models?

Big points if Nelligirl was to give us, the loyal site members a sneak preview of the 05 line up! Best, Robert II
  13. Don't hit the red button after loading unless you wish to load a different shell in the breach. Best, Robert
  14. First fill the rear "U" grove on the top rear of the carrier with a hard epoxy. After it hardens, reasemble and insert a shell into the chamber/breach and while the bolt is held to the rear slide another shell on to the top of the carrier and forward. Gently release the bolt so that it slides over this shell and forward, let it continue over the shell and into battery. When fired, the shell on the carrier will be picked up and loaded next. The following shells will then come from the magazine when fired. My SBE (older) version does not have the rear cut, only newer models. It will take the 3 1/2" on the carrier. My newer 20 ga, Montefeltro, when the grove is filled will not take a 3" shell on the carrier, but will take a 2 3/4". Best, Robert
  15. Remove the side saddle and see if it works better. Screwing in too tight can torque the reciever. Best, Robert
  16. Fair/good price, I believe pistol grip can be put on "if" the magazine tube does not hold more than 5 total. This only applys if it is post import ban. Not sure which ban. Best, Robert

    hevi-shot

One size larger than lead and three on steel is a general conversion. Hevi-Shot is about 22% heaveier than lead. Best shot there is. Good luck, Robert
  18. That will also work, but there will be more FTE and manual extractions. Best, Robert
  19. You can start with the heavy 3 1/2" any time. The "light loads" are the ones that need a break in period to shoot. Best, Robert
  20. Montefeltro, consider the 20ga. rather than the 12, due to ease of handeling/weight. Mine is a pleasure to carry. I have the SBE I for the heavy duity stuff. Best, Robert [ 12-29-2004, 09:36 AM: Message edited by: Robert II ]
  21. Hevi shot is only made by Ballistic. Try www.ballisticproducts.com to go direct. Some of the better gun shops have their components for sale. They do make what you are looking for. Remington ammo also uses Hevi-shot in some of their shells. Best, Robert [ 12-26-2004, 12:15 AM: Message edited by: Robert II ]
  22. I got lucky a few months ago and purchased a 26" from a fellow on this site. They can be found, try an offer to exchange with some one who wants a 28". Check www.gunbroker.com by doing a "search". I have seen them there. Best, Robert
  23. They now say it is Ok. Use steel rated chokes. Best, Robert
  24. Yes, Can be done to "newer bolt carriers". There was a posting on this a while ago on the board. I did it to my 20 ga. Montrefeltro. Best, Robert
  25. Yes, but more like Heckler and Kock (H&K) were the distributors for Benellies in the US. Now Benelli is owned by Beretta and HK is distributing Fabarms as their shot gun division. Best, Robert
