Make sure that the shell is pushed down and forward on the carrier while the slide is released. My "older" SBE will take the 3 1/2" shells while my newer 20 ga. The barell is very poorly coated. My SBE and Montrefeltro (20ga.) need to be coated(rust preventative) and cleaned with each use. Benelli should do a better job in this area. Any suggestions? Best, Robert

I have not been there, but I have heard that they are useful when the birds are hot and heavy. I am planning on one for my 20. The 4 shot extension is already on the SBE and I love it!!. Great for all non hunting restricted events (Crows and Jays disagree). Best, Robert

It is the rear cross grove on the bottom of the bolt. There are only two, the rear one os about 3/8" simi-circle across rear about 1"from end. May be others can post picture. Now for the 4 shot extension. One in the chamber, one on the boltcarrier, and eight? up the tube?= 10. Best, Robert
