blair888, try this link for your parts....Larry http://www.gunpartscorp.com/
  2. Hmmmmmmmmm..it could be that the confusion is caused by talking about two different products. Tom only sells the SportShootingSights for $23 each and no multiple order discount ( he does not sell the HuntingBeadSight)....and EastHit sells the SportSight for $25 or two for $40...and the HuntingBead for $22 or two for $36...plus shipping of course ....
  3. GooseBuster you are correct....i noticed that the post`s were wrong about Tom`s web site and the prices/shipping etc. I talked to Tom last week by e-mail after he did his show in Arkansas. I wanted to know if he removed the standard front sight when he mounted his EastHit sights ....he said no he mounts the EasyHit just behind the standard front sight and it works great. Good Job GooseBuster....
  4. I put a "precut" LimbSaver recoil pad on my M1 Super 90 and it made it a softer shooting gun. Also if i do a lot of clay or heavy volume bird shooting i use a shooting vest with a gel pad that i have pinned to the underside of the vest . I just use a couple of safety pins. I also have an M2 with the new stock system etc. I like both guns very much. Larry
  5. I put a couple of strips of metal tape on the forearm where it contacts the barrel support ring....like your fix this works fine also.

    Loose fore grip

On my M2 Field i put several layers of metal tape on the forearm where it contacts the barrel support ring.
  7. I overnight mailed my M2 trigger assy by USPS on 7/29/04 and received it back on 8/4/04 which was over a weekend. Excellent service by Benelli USA in Md. My thanks to Caroline and Christina at Benelli.
  8. Has anyone noticed that the forearm on the new M2 has a quite a bit of side to side play or looseness. ...?
  9. Well i will tell you what i do and it works for me. I have a M1 and a M2. I just remove the trigger assy. and the bolt assy. from the receiver. Clean and oil each assy. ...i do not break them down but lube them as an assy.....clean and oil the slide grooves on the inside of the receiver on both sides where the bolt assy slides when the gun is fired etc.....with the trigger assy removed you can see the recoil plunger/tube that fits in the stock....i take a little dowl and push the recoil plunger back into it`s tube that is in the stock and run a little oil down the tube. Put it back together and you are good to go...i don`t do this very often but i will add oil with a needle applicator to the receiver grooves and bolt after a hundred rounds or so. I am presently trying Militec-1 oil. Hope this helps. Larry
  10. Excellent threeshot..."Benelli Please Show Us Where To Lube The Critical Moving Parts Of The Gun"....With Pictures....Not Words. Again threeshot this is good constructive advice....not whinning...If you notice on Tom Knapp`s web site, when he answers a question, he explains it in logical detail that is easily understood ...Maybe he should write the manual......Larry
  11. New Mexico, before you give upon Benelli send a copy of this note [email protected] is coordinating the safety spring replacement. I am getting excellent service.
  12. Drundel, what is your favorite choke tube grease..? For regular lubrication of the gun action system have you tried Militec-1. I just received my order and have yet to try it. Have seen quite a few positive posts on Militec-1. Larry

    M1 Field

You are welcome...i picked up my new M2 yesterday...so i guess i will have to use the M1 in the left hand and the M2 in the right hand. I might sell my M1 but haven`t decided yet. I have two sets of standard chokes ( 5 of the black choke tubes plus 5 stainless tubes ) and a $ 100 Wad Wizard Supreme Extended Tube and a Limb Saver recoil pad. Bought it new in Nov. 2002 and really liked the inertia design and feel of the gun. Decided to try the M2. Haven`t done much with it yet except to send the trigger assy. to Benelli to change the safety spring. Should have it back early next week. Benelli has been great with a quick turn around on the spring change. Larry
  14. Remember that even though the barrel of the Benelli`s are chrome plated the area machined for the choke tube thread/diameter etc. is not chrome plated and will rust. In the worse case the tube will seize in the barrel due to rust even though the tubes are stainless steel. My new M2 i bought yesterday had minor rust in the thread and machined area ...no big issue, i just removed the choke tube , cleaned the rust and lubed up the area. When i am done i will use a good choke tube lube or Militec-1 and go hunting. This is not unique to Benelli , new guns have machining/cooling residue etc. that can cause corrosion if not removed and the area lubricated during the manufacturing process. Also my choke tube wrench had rusty fingerprints on it . Must be hot in Italy.
  15. Send a note to [email protected] and ask your question. Caroline will answer your question...she is very responsive and gives you the correct answer. I have had good results. Larry
  16. Sorry about that....send to [email protected] will be receiving the mail. Larry
  17. I sent Montefeitro a Pm note over two weeks ago and have heard nothing back. I have had great luck with sending my questions to Caroline at [email protected] . Send her the photos if she needs them and the background info etc. She always comes back with a quick and correct answer. Give her a try she is good. You can tell her i said so because she is responsive to our questions. Larry

    M1 Field

I have had a M1 12 ga. with the wood stock etc. now for two hunting seasons. I have made two trips to canada to shot geese and ducks plus my normal 6 weeks of duck hunting on Lake Okeechobee Florida. I also shoot sporting clays and dove hunt each yr. It is a good gun, points very well , light weight , nice high rib to get on target guickly , very simple gun that doesn`t break or malfunction with the proper cleaning etc. Easy to breakdown for cleaning , when ever you are inspired to do so , with very few moving parts. Kills geese, ducks, doves & clays with ease and just keeps shooting. I only use the 3 " shells for geese with 2 3/4" for all else. I have the 26 ' barrel and use the standard chokes for all shooting except for geese and i use the Wad Wizard for them. Be sure and look at the gun and shoulder it a few times to make sure you like the feel of the gun. I also installed a Limb Saver recoil pad which works great. You can install it without special fitting as it is designed to fit the Benelli etc. Well a lot of info but i think it is a good gun. Larry
  19. Benelli sez the bore dia. for the SBE2 & M2 are the same @ 0.724 +/- 0.004 in. The chokes for the M2 are interchangeable with the SBE2 . They both use the Optima choke vs the Mobil choke for the SBE/M1. The avg. dia. of the constriction type choke tubes supplied by Benelli for the SBE2/M2 are : Cylinder=0.730...Imp Cylinder=0.714...Modified=0.702...Imp Modified=0.694...Full...0.686.
  20. Montefeltro, i am in the process of looking for an M2...when will the fix be added at the factory before they are shipped...?? Date...?? Serial Number....?? etc....??? Larry
  21. Are the M1 chokes interchangable with the new M2 choke system ? I have an M1 with a Wad Wizard choke and would like to use it with the M2 that i am thinking about buying.
