Since you're the "in" at BenelliUSA, just tell them we want the recoil spring tube for the Law Enforcement version of the M4 made available. We don't want Benelli to install it; we just want to be able to purchase it.

Considering I can put an M4 stock on my M1014, the current config it's in, I'd say that's fishy. Sounds fishy, but I think you're right. The skeletonized stock will only collapse on the LE gun. The civy guns won't. But you're paying 170 bucks for the stock and the pistol grip. Looks like you need the LE recoil can. Good point if the ATF didn't prohibit them then they're OK. The question is, is Benelli not importing the version with the collapsable stock in order to keep the ATF from issuing a ruling on the legality of importing them for other than USMC use?

Hi ipguy, Don't want to throw cold water on the party, but here is my concern: For Reference here's 925, take note of (3): It wouldn't be illegal to import the shotgun as is, and it is not illegal sell the collapsable stock. What MAY be illegal is putting the two together, if you're not a .gov agency. There may be a way that it is legal, but I don't see it right now. If Benelli has gotten any clarification it would be very helpful.
