  1. Rancid, mistyped my reply . * is 8 and ^ is 6. Sorry for the confusion. -- GB
  2. The inertia system works on the principle of the duration of the pressure for the first 22" of the barrel length. The porting doesn't cause more noise , it changes the directionof the noise and helps eliminate barrel jump. Rancid, I e-mailed you via Private Message. But in case you wondered how many ports to put in your 28" barrel, I have * in my 28" and ^ ports in my 26".
  3. Drundel-- Yes the KIT does 2 things, 1 it allows you to shorten the LOP on the synthetic stocks and 2 it allows the attachment of recoil pads other than the Gel pad that comes with the synthetic stocks.--GB Turkey--Recoil doesn't always have to hurt to affect you. If you shoot a lot, recoil is absorbed by your whole body and can have a tiring effect. Therefore people who shoot say 200 rounds a day try avoid recoil. Hope this clears up things.--GB
  4. tucker301, I received the recoil reducers to go in the SBE ll synthetic stock on Fri. I installed them today and I think they're going to work fine. In the stock there are 2 (1-5oz. & 1-8oz.) to total 13oz. I also put a forend cap reducer on at 8oz., to give it some balance. With a Recoil Pad Replacement Kit I changed to a Limbsaver Pad. I had other things done to reduce the recoil also, let me know if you want the whole story.---GB
  5. ALL SPORT TECH has come up with a way to replace the Gel Recoil Pad on the SS, M2, SBE ll, and any other Benelli shotgun which has their Gel Recoil Pad. You can now change the LOP, change the PITCH, and/or change to any RECOIL PAD you like. The ALL SPORT TECH KIT comes with an aluminum plate and screws that enable you to adjust the fit of your gun to you. Contact All Sport Tech by phone 734-662-9127, fax 734-662-9128 or e-mail www.barrlbttns.comfor information or to order.
  6. If you are still worried about it coming loose, use a nut with the nylon insert and all will be ok.--GB
  7. 1oz. 12ga. loads are available at most sporting goods stores that sell guns. Cabela's, Gander Mt., Dick's, and many others. Many sportsman use them to shoot sporting clays, skeet, trap, and lots of other shotgun games. Remington, Federal, Estate, Fiocci, Winchester andmost ammo companies make them. Hope this info sheds some light on the subject. -- GB
  8. bangopicker -I have made a plate for my SBE ll that will let me attach any of the recoil pad of my choice. I recently put a Kickeeze Rocker pad on one of my SBE ll's and a Limbsaver pad on the other. Contact me direct and I'll discuss it with you. -- GB
  9. tucker301 --I have had my gun ported and am able to shoot 1oz loads with no problem at all.--GB
  10. Pleasent Ridge-- Not being familiar with the M1, tell me is the stock similar to the SBE ll ? If so, I have a way to shorten the LOP with a thin pad to about 13 1/4". I have shortened the LOP to 13" without a pad on my SBE ll and am able to put on any type pad I like. If you would like additional info contact me direct.--GB
  11. tucker301-- I had mine ported and like the result. You have to be careful on how many vents are put in your barrel as it could effect the functioning of your Benelli. I had a gunsmith who has extensive knowledge about porting of all guns do mine. All barrels don't take the same number of vents, different length barrels take a different amount. Tucker301 e-mail me direct if you like and we'll discuss it.--GB
  12. I bought 2 new SBE ll's and neither of them would cycle properly or load the 2nd shell. They also had about a 1/16" of creep in the trigger and 2 totally different trigger pulls. I bought these guns for competition and if I couldn't rely on dependability they were going to have to go. Well I found a gunsmith and he has them working perfect. When we pay the price they get for a Benelli wouldn't you thick they would make sure they work before sending them out the door? Bottom line, if you want the gunsmith's name etc. contact me. Good luck. -- GB

  15. Lokking to aquire a wood stock and forend that will fit on a SBE ll. If anyone has one they want to sell ,let me know and we'll make contact to work it out. Just want plain wood, nothing fancy and doesn't have to be in perfect condition. Thanks.--GB
  16. tucker301, There are 2 reducers currently available for a SBE 2 and both go on the front of the gun . One goes in the mag tube (11oz) and the other is a screw on forend cap type (8oz.). They are available from www.mpcsports.com and are manufactured by C & H Mercury Reducers. I am currently working with C & H to make one that will fit in the synthetic stock and should know in a couple weeks if it will work.--GB

  20. BugleMIn, The pitch is the angle at which the stock end (pad) touchs your shoulder . If there is not enough pitch your gun will shot high like your shooting uphill. When you mount and shoot the gun there should be equalpressure against your shoulderat all points of contact of the pad.On the other haand "drop" at the heel is the amount lower than the front of the comb. ---GB
  21. You guys might want to check with Hastings in Kansas. GB
  22. RW, You mayfind it's not the drop at the heel but the pitch. The pitch can be changed by have the stock cut at the correct angle which will spread the recoil over the entire pad surface not just at contact point of the pad . This will also make the gun shoot flatter. Play Good luck. -- GB
  23. Norm, forgot to mention that MPC also sells Truglo sights which are like the ones that come on Benelli's. MPC's phone #877-769-8783. Good luck, GB
  24. HiViz makes a sight kit with changable color pipes that comes with 4 or 5 sizes of mounting screws. The lowest price for the Comp Sight Kit I have found is from www.mpcsports.com at $23.95. Hope this helps. GB
  25. Tommy T.--- Glad things worked out for you , enjoy your SBE and don't let the attitude of some turn you away. Remember only you can ruin your day by letting others affect it. Looks like CC has a mission to make himself feel important , some people have that need, hope he is very happy being selfcentered. Tommy if in the future I can help you let me know direct to avoid the problem. GB
