    Question

What piece exactly are you referring to?
  2. "My SBE II went together fine. All of my Benellis over the last 15 years have gone together fine." "I've had to pick at all my dipped guns to clean up film." Hey you’re not John Kerry in disguise are you? LOL
  3. Just thought I would see if anyone was interested in a very slighty used 28" Cordoba. Asking $975.00 E-mail me at [email protected]
  4. Are you trying to push the cartridge retaining lever, with the bolt already pulled back and the chamber open? The bolt has to be all the way forward with the chamber closed in order for the cartridge retaining lever to work and release another shell onto the shell carrier. Therefore to unload the gun you will need to 1st push the cartridge retaining lever to release the next shell onto the shell carrier. 2nd pull the bolt all the way back. This will pull the shell that was in the chamber out and eject it. As you release the bolt and let it return forward the shell that was released when you did the first step will now be loaded into the chamber. Now repeat steps 1 and 2 until all shells have cycled through.
  5. Save your money and get a SBE or SBE2 if you want to shoot 3.5".
  6. The gun recoil is an example of the conservation of momentum. Before the shot, both the bullet and the gun are at rest so the total momentum is zero. After the shot the bullet is traveling in one direction and the gun in the opposite direction such that the total momentum remains zero. Let M be the mass of the gun and m be the mass of the bullet. Let v be the velocity of the bullet and V be the velocity of the gun. From the conservation of momentum we know that MV+mv=0. Subtracting mv from both sides of this equation gives us MV=-mv. Dividing by the mass of the gun (M) gives us V=-mv/M which is the equation you presented. So M must be the mass of the gun in your equation
  7. Just because you guys are self-proclaimed Benelli pros doesn’t mean every one else is familiar with them. My friend just bought the SBE 2 while we were in Stuttgart on a duck hunting trip. He had the same problem with the receiver not wanting to fit because of the close tolerance with the camo, we really had to force it pretty good.
  8. This might sound strange, but when my friend got his new SBE 2 we went out and shot skeet with it. Every time he would shoot he would have a shell hang up on him and when I shot it, it worked flawlessly. We learned that it was the way he was mounting the gun to his shoulder. He was not mounting it firm to his shoulder and somehow that was interfering with the inertia system. He corrected the problem and now would not trade it for the world.

    Cordoba

I have both. I use the Cordoba for clays and the SBE 2 for hunting. The Cordoba does not shoot 3.5" some might consider that a disadvantage. I think you have to realize that the two guns were intended for different situations
  10. I just wanted to say thanks for all the advice. This is the first time I have had a chance to check it, since I posted the question.
  11. I thought this would be a great place to ask questions about dog training. I just got a black lab pub he is 7 weeks old. I have never trained my own dog. I was wondering at what age should I start training and if anyone knows of any good books, web sites or training aids that might be helpful. Thanks
  12. I THINK AS LONG AS IT WILL LOCK THE AIRLINES ARE OK WITH IT.
  13. Waylon what do you think I meant when I wrote "just curious wouldn't it be just as easy to just drop a shell into the open chamber and hit the bolt return button?"

  15. Live2Hunt, I got the SBE 2 in camo and the only problem I had with mine was some of the camo coming off after I got some bug spray on it that was on my hands. FYI for any one who has the camo models any bug spray with deet will cause the camo to rub off slightly. That is the only problem I have had with mine.
  16. "The problem as was explained to me is that they are recalling the "LOW RECOIL” barrels and replacing the parts and barrels with Mil Spec parts." So the civilian version of the M4 is not the same as the military? My two cents is not worth much I know, but for me this just reassures my believe that gas operated shotguns (Even if Benelli makes them) are not worth the box they come in. I am speaking from experence, I have the Beretta 391 and a couple of non gas, inertia operated Benellis. I shoot allot of sporting clays and hunt doves as much as possible. The 391 just can’t hold up. I also had an 1187 I thought I would mention that just for laughs. From experience I can say I can shoot any load in any order with my SBE and my M2. I am not proud of this, but I have put thousands of rounds threw my M2 and have not cleaned it and can count on one hand how many times I have had a problem with it. In my opinion if you have a gas operated shotgun. "You're just not cooking with gas" no pun intended.
  17. I know the newer Benellis do not do that. I am not 100% sure about the older ones when H&K used to import them. Just curious wouldn't it be just as easy to just drop a shell into the open chamber and hit the bolt return button?

    CORDOBA

Geno the only difference between the Cordoba and the super sport is the finish. Cordoba is better suited for hunting because of its dull black finish on the gun and the extended chokes. The comforttech stock does make a difference on felt recoil especially when using heavier loads. I am very satisfied with mine.
  19. Just a little FYI I believe Estates are manufactured by Federal. The reason I know this is because I was in a sporting goods store in Augusta GA that had a new shipment of Estates, the sealing tape around the pallets had the Federal name and logo on it. I would assume that Federal had some part in it.
  20. Tucker no I did not realize Brice had been through all that. I stand corrected, sorry for the smart *** reply. Thank you for welcoming me to the site. My brother was changing out the drop on his Cordoba when he was tightening the stock he accidentally over tightened it and something cracked in the stock. He called Benelli CS and they sent him a new one the very next day. His SBE 2 came with a choke miss stamped and once again they sent him a new one the very next day. I hope that if I ever do need service they treat me as good as they have my brother. Oh well good luck to anyone who needs CS.
  21. I used to be one of those guys that would try every after market choke there was thinking that there was going to be some magical choke that was going to make me shoot better than I ever had before. For me I like skeet or IC I have found that I can accomplish any pattern with my factory chokes that I can with any after market chokes.

    CORDOBA

Having bought four Benelli shotguns in the past three years I also consider myself a loyal Benelli USA consumer I was trying to get what you call "genuine concerns, questions and comments." Instead I got this; "Last weekend there was an unusually strong vertical pressure gradient ridge trough centered over South Carolina / North Carolina. This meteorological anomaly affected vertical and lateral shifts in the air currents, as well as a 3% increase in gravitational Dow force, believed to have been strengthened by the meteor showers. Combined, the effects on clay pigeons were profound to say the very least. Pigeons were slowed by 14.6% and appeared larger than normal, due the shifts in mirage patterns. Shooters throughout the Carolinas reported record scores, with one Mossberg shooter setting a new state record in Asheville, NC. /source - NC Dept. of Bovine Excrement” Is that what you mean by "genuine concerns, questions and comments: seeking genuine opinions and answers from other consumers." Maybe you should have taken this well thought out post off from someone who has nothing productive to add. Oh and tucker301 this is how you spell "Gradient" and what is a dowforce? Did you mean down force?

    CORDOBA

I was just wondering if anyone else has bought the Cordoba. I shot sporting clays with mine this past weekend. I shot well with it I feel. I broke 77/100 with it the first time out. On skeet broke 23/25. For me I have never done that well using a gun I have never shot before. Oh well, just wanted to get some feed back.
  24. Hey tucker301 did you read the part where he said "However, they are going to replace my 24" with another barrel." It’s not like they are giving him his old barrel back. Fortunately I have never had to use there service, but my brother has because of his own stupidity. They sent him replacement parts ASAP.
