  1. Check out "Titan" Q/R Detachable Sling Swivels by The Outdoor Connection. The best I've used. I like them better than the Hush Stalker II swivels.
  2. Hey there, Yes, the M3 can do it all. I owned a M3 years ago but sold it after a short while. Nothing was wrong with it, I just thought it was too much of a compromise gun. It did many things ok, but for me, none very well. As you said, it is heavier and my idea of a house gun is a light, short-barreled pump. And now my idea of a duck gun is a SBEII.
  3. Thanks for the nice comments! I took the first picture from the blind looking directly at the Colusa Wildlife Refuge 100 yards away. The mountain range in the background is the Buttes.
  4. Just got back this afternoon from four Ducky days in Colusa. A friend got me into duck hunting last year and all I can say is "Wow...I'm hooked for life!" First is from this morning's sunrise and the other is from Tuesday. [ 01-20-2006, 08:41 PM: Message edited by: Nomaspescado ]
  5. Just got back from a four day hunt...I'd like to post a pic or two but don't know how. Anyone help me out? Mudhen, Is that Colusa?
  6. If the bolt is closed and you want to make sure that it is fully closed, (safety on) finger the black extractor to the "up" position. This will ensure that it is fully locked and ready to go. If the bolt is not fully seated and locked, the firing pin will not be able to reach the primer when the trigger is pulled.
  7. Wow...You're a walking encyclopedia, Tucker. Thanks for the response. This particular fellows gun had or has different problem. But, it's good to hear that you were able to fix your's with a little tweeking. I'm going to put some more rounds through it this week and see if it does not occur again. If it does, but only every now and then, I'll wait for the season to end before sending it in to Benelli. I just don't feel to comfortable having a shell carrier that is visibly over to one side. Thanks again for your help, Steve
  8. I forgot to say that it is the right handed model. Anybody have their SBE II handy that could take a look? Thanks

    Help...

Hey there, This is my first post and I formost wanted to say a "Thank You" to all of you I have read here and taken good advice from. I just returned from a week-long vacation shooting ducks and geese with my new SBE II. The trip was unbelievable... Limits on ducks and geese every day. I am new to this and I am now hooked for life. But, I did have one failure to feed where the third round ejected from the mag tube but the bolt ran part-way over the shell as the round was not levered up by the shell carrier. I was using 3.5 inch Kents at the time. One thing I did notice was that on this gun, I can feel a little play with the carrier where it can move to the right (gun upside down looking at the carrier). When unloaded, I can press without too much pressure, the carrier to the right and feel and slight hang-up on the base of the bolt (again, only if I press it). Has anyone ever noticed this on their own SBE II? Thanks for any help, Steve
