I have one of the special edition M1014 shotguns. I would like to have the non-collapsible buffer-tube replaced with a 3-position buffer tube. Does anyone know a good, competent gunsmith which would be able to do this for me? Preferably I would ship my shotgun to him for the work, and then he would ship it back when finished. Thanks!

I have one of the limited edition M1014s and am finally getting around to fixing the fact that I have a collapsible stock which doesn't collapse due to the current buffer tube. I see that I have two options: 1) Purchase a new buffer tube with the correct milling to allow the stock to collapse. I've seen some factory 3-position tubes on gunbroker in the past, but am not finding any at the moment. Anyone have any info where I can get my hands on one of these? 2) Have my current buffer tube milled to allow for the 3-position collapsing functionality. Does anyone know of a good,m reliable gunsmith who is familiar with this process and has done it in the past? Thanks!

So I'm moving to California for my job. Thing is, I've got a beautiful Benelli M1014 with the pistol grip stock (non-collapsible) and the 2-shot extension. Can I bring it with me to Cali?

For the bolt handel just use the M1 version. fits fine on the M4.

Yea, 240+, that'll be the day. Try 180 if I at a big lunch. That's the problem with only being 5'8"--it makes it all that much harder to get freaking huge. Oh well.

Yes, he certainly could! I purchased my M1014 with the Sidearmor already installed--it's one of the things that caught my eye in the first place. The fit is great--it leaves enough room to remove the barrel without any hassle. I can't comment if you need Locktite or not because I didn't install it. At any rate, Locktite or no, it's still as solid as the day I bought it. It works great for a flashlight attachment method--it puts my Surefire M3right there at the tip of the gun. Utility wise, it'll work great for a flashlight or laser. If you're looking for just the flashlight mount, then the sidearmor is a good choice. However, if you want more of a rail system that will allow for a vertical grip, wait for the FCAM. Anyway, I really like mine and am glad it's on my shotty.

They should--I think the mismatched finish is the only thing steering people towards the factory tube instead of the Nodak version.

Heck yes we're interested! See if you could take some pictures too if the Man will let you. I've got a Mesa tactical shell holder, Surefire M3, Sidearmor rail, and a Docter sight on mine, and it is a tad heavy. However, like Duggan said, a nice sling makes things much better. However, if I do happen to pick up another M4, I think I'll leave it pretty much stock except for a light optic like maybe another Docter or something, just so I'll have a lighter shotty if I ever have to haul it around for a while (like for pheasant hunting--I can already see the look on my dad's face when I whip it out! ).

Half-Life 2 mod? Sweet! However, can't you just use the same model from counterstrike? It's way cool--a M3 w/surefire light and 14" entry barrel.

They actually make 14" entry barrels for the M4. Before you go for the chop job, I'd check with some class 3 dealers and see if they could order one in for you.

Saw the movie last night, so here's a quick lil' review for yall. First off, there isn't as much actual gun-play in this movie as there is in Heat and Collateral. However, when the guns do come out, it's very technical, very violent, and very beautiful (true to Mann's style). This movie could use a little of the old Elvis quote "a little less conversation, a little more action." The reason I say that is for two reasons: First, the dialog isn't all that great in this flick, actually kind of a drag. Second, Foxx and Farrel carry around their guns during most of the movie, but there are only about three good shooting scenes in the movie, and two of them are very brief. Now, the last gunfight... Well that's another story . In a word: Awesome. However, although Foxx runs around with his Benelli, you never get to see the real firepower that thing can bring to bear--the shots are aimed singles with no rapid fire. I was kinda bummed with that because any 'ol pump can do what he was using it for. I wanted to see him lay the smack down with rapid fire Benelli goodness! Anyway, aside from the guns and bad dialog, the visuals are great--some truly beautiful and stunning scenery, and true to Mann's work, a there is a definite mood. I want to see it again, and I can't wait for the DVD.

What I'd like to see is her actually try to shoot that fiddy the way she's holding it.

PS, does she really work for the DEA?

+1--Benelli autos are great, especially the gas operated M4/M1014. The recoil on my M1014 is nice and easy, even with 3" mags and slugs.

Gaaah! Cough! Holly... Wow... That's really, uh, really nice! Dang--and I though I had all the accessories I needed for my M1014--Boy was I wrong!
