  1. The actual magazine tube has the same threads, but the collar that threads onto the receiver portion of the magazine, has different threads on the Nova versus and m2. Therefore, you can use a magazine tube for any of those guns, but the collars cannot be interchanged, at least from the m2 to the Nova guns.
  2. Kragan auto parts - get a socket, an extension and a deep 13mm socket...
  3. The answer to your question is right on their web page!!! http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/m2m1.tpl They do have one currently...
  4. M2-tactical is great. I shoot it often at the sporting clays and 5-stand ranges much to the dismay of the regulars (there's that riot gun again!)! I have 2 extra mag extensions - stock fits 5 shells in the magazine, I have one that fits 6, and one that fits 7 in the magazine (+1 including the chamber to make 8 max). But I keep the stock 5 extension attached - if I need more than 6 shots for home defense.... I don't think 1 or two more rounds will help!!! Keeping the 5+1 stock setup keeps the gun small and light, which does mean it kicks quite hard. Its simplicity is great - I clean it after every use and after several thousand rounds, it still looks new. I don't think there's anything to wear out on it (like gas pistons and such). It's just too easy NOT to clean it after every time, even when I shoot multiple times over a weekend! [ 10-05-2006, 09:35 PM: Message edited by: garrett ]
  5. Yes - my brother in-law has one, and it's listed on the website too. The factory one has the blades on the back of the barrel, not on the receiver. The ghost-ring sight is on the receiver. [ 09-20-2006, 10:36 AM: Message edited by: garrett ]
  6. cmshoot - how long is the extension from the threaded end to the smooth end? I am curious why mine is longer than my barrel!

    7+1+1?

GeeTen - does your 4 shot extension extend further than your barrel by about 1/4"? I have a factory one which does... is this a problem at all? When I used my 4-shot extension I noticed it got "dusted" from the shot powder... Also, do you use the screw-on clamp that holds the extension to the barrel? Why is that needed, anyhow? Thanks
  8. Hi - when my gun was new, it was very tough to get that off - I had to use a screwdriver with a cloth so it didn't mark the finish, to pop it off. If you find that the bolt is stuck to the barrel, and you can't withdraw the bolt, take out the trigger assembly so you can slide it all out together to see what's wrong.
  9. yes - the barrel can be removed either way; I am not sure what problem there would be with it closed, since it comes off the same - pulls straight out with no problem. I have an M2 tactical and remove the barrel all the time (couple times a week) with the bolt closed, or open - no problems!
  10. I would just disassemble the gun - remove the magazine cap so you can remove the barrel, then see what the problem is. Maybe the catch on the bolt head got stuck on the Snap Cap - I would think removing the barrel would do less harm than trying to jam open the bolt. 11. It doesn't uncock the hammer - it just releases a shell from the magazine. If you pull the trigger after pressing the "drop lever", the hammer will still strike the firing pin. I can't see how this would make the gun fire without pulling the trigger.
  12. Hi Duggan - yes, I saw your great pics and enjoyed reading that! Do you know why there's a slot there? Thanks
  13. I am curious why the shell lifter on my M2 has a notch in it towards the magazine end - all it seems to do is catch my thumb and smash it if I am not careful when loading. I've seen some people weld this shut. I am just curious if it serves any purpose, such as permitting a cable-type receiver lock to be passed through the slot... that's the only thing I can think of it would be intended for. I never had this problem with the Nova model... Thanks Here's a sample of what it looks like:
  14. When cleaning my M2 tactical, the choke tube always has a firmly attached layer of black residue that needs to be scraped out with a screwdriver - the wire brush won't remove it. It only forms on the receiver side of the choke tube, and is usually a band that's about 6mm wide. Am I over-oiling the tube (is it cooked oil?), or is this residue from the plastic containing the shot as it's condensed in the choke? I think it's the plastic, but it's odd that it forms in the same spot all the time, and is so hard to remove! Just curious, thanks
  15. Hmmm, I called last week and the guy told me no case comes with the gun! I think I'll call again and hopefully get someone different..
