  1. Nevermind on cut and pasting. Just click on the link. Click ont he Pictoview logo. Once there you can click on the product and do close up. This would be WAY cooler than the current picture style.
  2. 1000% agree with Tucker on the video deal. I think each gun should be shipped with GOOD DETAILED instructions and also go to the video style uplinks on the website. I think a DVD should be sent instead of paper, BUT you run the risk of someone not having a DVD player. Paper may still be needed. On the DVD maybe have it so the written instructions can be printed. Got to save the trees, YO! Lastly, on the website intead of having the close up pictures I would put the Pictoview system. It allows you to rotate the product in every direction to really see it. This is part website of the company that I work for. This should work. Cut and paste and check it out. http://bike.shimano.com/catalog/cycle/products/shoe.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441780345&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302050756&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395181674&CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198673269242&bmUID=1168965398261
  3. I love my Easy hit. If it feel off in the rain it wasn't installed right. Got to use some alchohol on the rib. The wipe it comes with to me is not enough. I used a cottonball. Anyway, if you cannot see the red light in the tube then it is doing the job of showing you that you are not looking down the rib. I use the bigger one and after pattering my gun with it noticed it shoots right on about 70/30(high/low on the dot) on the target but I have heard each gun is different. I plan on adjusting the drop to get more of a 60/40. Hopefully I am doing it right I am super new at this but found it works at keeping my head down. My gun looked bare without it also. Anyway, I am not an expert so maybe I am doing something wrong but this is what I found. CR
  4. Liberty, Sucks but in my opinion next time take a field kit with you so you don't have to go home. Gunslick makes a kit that even comes in camo so you can loose it, ha, ha. About Federal. I don't think there is ANY ammo on the market that is perfect. With that being said I have now shot 3 boxes of Federal Gold 1 1/4oz, 3 inch, magnum #6 at 1550fps and not once did I have a problem. I also ran 100 of the Walmart Blue Box Federal 1 1/8oz, 2 3/4 inch, #8 at 1200fps with zero problems. Now I just found out with the industry I work in that I have the opportunity because of our contacts to buy ammo at really good prices. Unfortunately for me it is not Federal. I am a Federal man. The ammo is FIOCCHI. I plan on buying some and checking it out. I will however not EVER use Winchester unless I am forced to. Reason? I will not support a company that supports Patrick Flannigan.....but that is another story. Let us just say he and I don't get along to well.... Anyway, sorry you had the problem. Remember that kit.... CR
  5. Tucker and Hogwild, Thanks a ton for the info. This really helps me. One last dumb question.... I got the Montefeltro 20g for the wife. What is heavy loads for 20g. We ran some Federal 1 1/8oz, 3.44 dram, 3 inch #6 at 1300fps. That gun kicked hard as it is so light. Ran just like mine 2 boxes through it. We then ran about 100 rounds of the blue box Federal 7.8oz, 2.38 dram, 2 3/4 inch, #7 1/2, 1210fps. My question(s) on these is I am assuming that 1 oz would be big enough for break in or should I be breaking it in more with the 1 1/8 loads. Also, I like federal but I cannot find any lower load than 3/4oz for 20g. Is there lower like 1/2 or is that just not applicable? Super sorry for all the questions? I thought I had it figured out but there are SO many options. Thanks again guys! It is always a pleasure to hear from guys like you that know what is up. Thanks for that. CR
  6. Sorry if it didn't make sense but you said exactly what I meant. The Mossberg WAS MADE to be an overbored gun. Benelli's were not unless I missed something SO since they are not I was pointing out about keeping it stock. I wouldn't take mine in and get it all modified is what I was saying. And as your 2nd paragraph said there are plenty stong enough shells in 3 inch. I guess i was just agreeing with the whole 3 inch thing. Go with it and you will love the Cordoba. I have the SS which is the same gun but fancier looking. The Cordoba will do the job and I LOVE the coating it has on it. Too bad they don't put that on the black SBEII's. I think that coating would be bomb proof. I like the dull finish to. My 2nd gun will be the Cordoba but in the shortest barrel they have when I buy it (most likely the 28 inch) so I can swing it in a blind good OR I will get the SBEII. I like the Cordoba though because I like my SS so much. There, we agree and all is well. You RULE!!!
  7. Thanks for the info but that doesn't do it. There are a TON of hunting loads so what do I choose. Any other takers?

    Heavy Loads

Hey boys, Lame question but I am new and want to clear my mind. I got a SS w/ comfortech. I LOVE this gun. The manual says to shoot 3-4 boxes of heavy loads. I am confused as I don't know what is considered heavy. I put 2 boxes of 1 1/4oz, 3 dram, 3 inch magnum #6 shot at 1550fps Federal Golds through it so far. I then went and put 100 rounds of standard(blue box) Federal 1 1/8oz, 3 dram, 2 3/4 inch #8 shot at 1200fps. I want to compete and as I move a long would love to try the lower recoil loads. I am just confused of what is a heavy load and what to look at on the box. Is the ox size what I should be looking at or the FPS or dram. I see 1 oz shells at high 1450fps loads and makes me wonder if that is considered a heavy load. Help, my brain hurts! CR
  9. Liberty, Too much gun stuff. I keep it stock and go with what is available so there is not ever an issue. If a gun was designed to be overbored then it would be designed that way. I guess if you are so into it on the tinkering side then it would be fun but for me load and role, don't worry about it. Enjoy the experience of hot coffee in a blind or a day with the wife at the clay course or hunkering down on the last two pairs in a competition. The experience is what drives me. Ok enough rambling on to my point. If you are shooting right you can get a big enough Magnum load to handle whatever you are shooting at with 3 inch. It will knock it down. 3 1/2's are a bit much in my opinion. I guess maybe on a Canada goose but I think there are some fine shells in 3 inch to do the job. Federal makes some that have over 1500fps that are screamers and will put down what you are shooting. What do I know, I am new.... CR
  10. In my opinion I don't think they are any louder than a 24-26 inch barrel with 3 1/2 inch magnums. Remember Cordoba's only go to 3. Wonder what it would be like if a gun could go to 11 because it is one better than 10, ha, ha..... They have a 28 inch barrel (shortest) so it will be a little longer and the ports will be where a 26 inch barrel will be at so...... Oh yeah, Ear plugs. They work wonders, ha, ha... I am funny today.......NOT! CR
  11. I love my Easy Hit, but then again I still cannot hit a barn door. As I posted on another area, my wife beats me at the trap range and she has one on her gun. She likes it as it keeps her head down. For me it just helps me keep the gun straight because if you don't the red light of the system goes away and you are not looking straight down the gun. I could see how it could get in the way though. Maybe that is my problem, ha, ha.....
  12. Hey guys, dumb question but have to ask. Got a new Supersport w/ comfortech w/ 30 inch barrel. LOVE this gun. This is just a plain awesome gun. Cannot hit the broad side of a barn but so much fun. Wife shoots her new Montefeltro 20g better than I can at the trap range. I am proud to say she is better than me. ANYWAY, got 300 rounds through my gun. Started out with 2 boxes of Heavy load, Federal Gold 1 1/4 oz, 3 dram, 3 inch #6 shot at 1550fps. These were screamers and kicked pretty good but that is what I could find to "break it in" I wish the manual would say exactly what size shell to use when then they say to run 3-4 boxes of heavy loads through the gun. Since it doesn't say I just went for the biggest I could find locally. Ok, since then I have been shooting regular Federal 1 1/8 oz, 2.97 dram, 2 3/4 inch #8 shot at 1200fps. Cycling is excellent and all that so no problems there. The question is that I have some nicks on the receiver where the spent shell gets ejected. I am sure this is normal, right? If this is normal cool, no issues. Could these nicks cause shells to hang up when I start using the lower 1 oz or 7/8's loads in competition. Let me know what you all think. Thanks and sorry for such a dumb question and the rambling, I never owned a Semi-auto before. CR
  13. Liberty, Tom will respond to you directly on his forum. Sometimes it takes awile or another forum member has the correct answer so he doesn't answer, but on more than one occasion he has responded to me and my idiodic questions. He rules and also has a direct e-mail address if you prefer asking directly without the whole world seeing it. Tucker is right though, he is filming A LOT right now for all the shows he does and is working on a DVD too. Can't wait for that. Chad
  14. sdkidaho, Your right about Tim. What I meant by saying he was a Beretta guy is that he was using a Beretta. I always do that when talking about a person. If they shoot a Benelli they are a Benelli person. I guess if you had many different guns then you could be a different guy each day, ha, ha.... I didn't throw the details about the video he made and Beretta not giving him a chance or didn't want a sport guy like that. Thanks for the correction. CR
  15. Tim was a Beratta guy but they wouldn't support him and then Tom got him hooked up with Benelli. I sure like my Benelli's... Good luck.
  16. Liberty, Check this out on YouTube. Good info too on Benelli. This should give you all the look at what a Benelli can do. Oh yeah, if you notice that there were no jams in the guns. This is really good info on what Tom says. I know they get paid but as Professional sponsored Bicycle rider it is hard for me to lie about something that doesn't work. You don't want to be a sell out and you truly want something that works or you wouldn't use it. It just is icing on the cake if you can be paid. CR
  17. Liberty, Tom Knapp and Tim Bradley shoot their Benelli's upside down, right side up, side ways and any other way you can think of. I have talked (through e-mail) w/ Tom and he says there are some events he shows up and the dealer or range gives him new guns in the box. He says he builds them and runs a magazine full of shells through them to check them out and also to get the crowds attention and then starts the shows. My opinion, pick the gun that fits. I bought the Benelli over the Beretta. It fit better, wasn't as bulky and I like the comfortech because it is easier to adjust the LOP and Comb plus the comb pad is soft. I LIKE SOFT, ha, ha.... Time was also very important to me and even if it is 10 minutes here or there I take it. The Benelli is faster and easier to clean. Someone said it is only 10 more minutes than the Benelli. Times that every time you go out and shoot and if you are like me I spend a lot of time at the Clays course and that 10 minutes over a short period of time becomes hours. I don't have hours with the job I do and amount of travel. So my 2 cents. Get the one that fits and you weigh the factors on the cleaning, recoil, bla, bla, bla.... CR
  18. WoodsHunter, Tucker is right about the recoil. I will say this, even if your wife is buff, weight of the gun does matter (especially if she says so). Last thing you need is having her complain during a hunt or walking a sporting clays course about the weight of the gun being heavy. I know it is a fine line so look into a good recoil aftermarket pad like Pachmayr or Limbsaver and get a good vest (that fits her, not your old one, something like a MizMac womens only vest). Ok, my wife is 5'2 and 96lbs. She hates recoil but she also hates heavy guns. I explained the whole ID system and lightweight vs. recoil thing so she knew what she was getting into. Well, got her a Montefeltro 20g. I had it cut down and fitted with the shims/spacers it comes with and a Pachmayr Decelerater pad. I also got her a MizMac Vest. We have always shot guns but shotguns are new to us. Anyway, she took that thing out and loaded it up with some Magnums to break it in and and went to town. With the load she was shooting (1 1/4 oz shot #6 in 3 inch) kicked pretty hard for her. She did say that it kicked less than the 20 Nova pump she had been shooting. Now that it is broken in she shoots the light loads and let me tell you, she goes AFTER IT! She says that it kicks less than any Semi-Auto she has ever shot. She has rented and shot Beretta's and Brownings during the "which gun do I like Phase". Best thing I could have done is let here pick the gun. If you do that then it is not YOUR gun. It is hers and they will take ownership better over it. I think alot had to do with the fit, pad, vest and loads but all I can say is she loves the gun A LOT! She likes cleaning it too she says and says it is super easy and fun, GO FIGURE!?!?! Just my two cents. Good luck

    M2 break in

Hey guys, I am new here but thought I would give you my story and opinion. My wife and I grew up shooting. We got away from it and re-discovered the fun of shooting knowing that there are ranges in Southern California. We love clay shooting. The only shotgun we own is an old Parker that was my grand-dads. Anyway, we have been shooting around here renting the guns and going to many different shops and shouldering all kinds of models. Although we were pushed pretty hard to get Beretta's we ended up settling on Benelli. I got myself a 12g Supersport w/ Comfortech and bought my wife a Montefeltro 20g. I had to get her stock cut and fitted for her. I have read a lot about recoil and some of the negative stuff in forums and started to get worried. The only Benelli's we were able to rent were pumps. But my wife loved the way the Montefeltro looked and felt and I am a gadget guy so I bought into all the stuff I read on the Comfortech, Inertia system, ported barrel, adjustable LOP and Comb, bla, bla, bla.... So just so all you know my wife is 5'2 and 96lbs. When we rented the pumps she shot all day but came home with a black and blue shoulder. As you can see from what I have been reading I was getting nervous. So we have been going out for about 4 weeks now and let me tell you, we LOVE these guns. Of course I closed my eyes when my wife shot hers for the first time. In her words it is the best gun she has ever shot and to her she said the recoil is better than any rental gun she has shot. I truly believe the fit is what made it this way for her. The gun fits so it is not slapping her face or shoulder. She loves it and WANTS to go shooting all the time. I don't know about all you all and again I am new but the SS is a dream. Even with the heavy loads I broke it in with. I am keeping it real 2.75 dram, 7 1/2 shot, 1250 shells. It shoots as good as the video and all the marketing said it does. Again I don't have a lot of experience but this is what I have seen and felt. I had e-mailed Tom Knapp (before our purchase)just to see what he would say and he said the Comfortech thing is for real along with the medical gel and comb pads and so on but he did say that my wifes gun due to the 5.4 lbs light weight that it may kick more than normal and recommended a Limbsaver pad if a vest didn't work. When I had the gun fit I put the Pachmayr sporting clay pad on it and my wife loves it plus she uses a vest. I knew buying a light gun may kick but it was a better option than an 8lb gun that after a round of Trap or clays she would complain about the weight. I let her pick the gun and the she wanted the lighter gun. I am so glad we got Benelli's. Super clean, easy to maintain, good customer service (that is another story) and it is nice to know we can just load and roll. CR
  20. I just wanted to let everybody know that I contacted Benelli's Customer Service about a little issue on my gun. They fully helped and were a joy to work with. I am not sure where all the negative comments come from but it wasn't the case for me. I think people expect too much out of companies at times and then not fully understanding how the world and companies work and not looking at the whole picture is the issue. It could very well be the box that people live in sometimes. Open your minds and treat people how you would like to be treated and it will all be ok. Remember it is just a gun part. Anyway, my hats off to the crew at Benelli and for that I will never buy another brand of gun unless it is something they don't make. CR
  21. Nevermind, Benelli's customer service ROCKS! I called them and they are taking care of it. I guess it is not a normal thing and the beads should be straight. All I can say is that they are awesome to work with and all the negative stuff I have read is BULL!!! I work in the Customer Service field and there efforts was spot on. Thanks to Lauri and George for the help. They rule!!!
  22. Hello!!!! I guess it doesn't matter what Benelli model you have. ANYBODY have a bead that is uncentered on their guns. IS THIS NORMAL!!!!???? Thanks!
  23. My Montefeltro I just bought had the mid bead offset also. Front was ok. There were 3 others in the shop at the time of the same model with the middle bead offset. They were all exactly the same. I thought it was normal but maybe not. Do you think Benelli would warranty something like this?

    Montefeltro

My Story- Just bought my wife a Montefeltro 20g. Nice gun. One small imperfection with the gun though. The back/middle bead is offset and not straight in the rib. There were 3 of these guns in stock at this dealer, 2 on the shelve and one in the box that I bought. All three had this offset back bead. It looks like a manufacturing deal/jigging issue. I also at the same time bought a Supersport w/ comfortech for myself and the back bead does not do this. I know you "point" the gun and not "aim" it when shooting but it is on there for a reason I assume and it is crooked. Will this be an issue? My question- Is this normal, do any of you have same issue with any other Benelli? Am I just being oversensitive with my purchase? What do you guys think? I paid almost 1k for the gun, so need to know the dealio. Thanks!!
  25. Thanks Gunner76! Anymore out there want to add?
