  1. I love that sound, I just find it more challenging to shoot a small fast flying bird then a larger slower bird.
  2. I have never seen any harm come to a gun from doing this but I have found that the patterns just don't seem right. The BBs tend to bounce off of each other when squeezed through to tight of a choke. You should get exellent patterns with a modified and improved cylinder.
  3. What is everyones favorite bird to shoot? Please name if duck, goose, pheasant, dove, turkey and name what kind. My favorite would have to be ducks. Teal, woodys and mallards.
  4. Is there something wrong with saying s****s? S h e l l s
  5. And to think that it was actually legal to use one for waterfowl. Has anybody read about the 2 gauge the scottish guy made for taking geese at 100+ yards? I remember reading the article but I can't seem to find it online.
  6. I did pretty good today. Almost got my limit and also got a mallard hen. I would have got my limit had I not run out of shells. Had to wait for my mom to come home with the camera. http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k52/bbmcgrath/DCP_0956.jpg
  7. What are all the birds he hunts? Because if he hunts turkey and geese, I would definately get him The SBEII. IMO the legacy and the Montefeltro are to nice of a gun to even use. The ultralight is a great pheasant gun, light and quick. The M2 is a great gun too but I use 3 1/2 for all my waterfowl, which is the reason I would prefer the SBEII.
  8. You can take the plug out, I think it will hold 4+1 if you do. If you pull out the black retaining ring, you can remove the plug. Be careful though, if you don't do it right the spring, plug, magazine follower and the retaining ring will go flying across the room. Snap ring pliers should do it.
  9. Thank you
  10. Anyone, anyone at all?
  11. I have a nova and it has worked flawlessly the whole time I have had it. I think after hunting season is over I am going to trade it for the supernova. The only thing I don't like about the nova is that the trigger guard is to small to fit a gloved finger so I have a cold hand every time I hunt, hence the reason I want the supernova.
  12. Thats what I thought. I was cleaning it in my living room, (very small living room) and can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anybody have a picture of a recoil assembly that shows colors and everything? After looking at the schematics I am not sure if I am missing a part. So far I have a black cap, a red cap, a plug and a spring. I think I should have 2 red caps, a spring, a plug and a black cap.
  13. Thank you, that is just what I was looking for.
  14. Hey, while I was cleaning my nova, the magazine tube assembly came out and flew all over the place. I got all but one part which is the little cap that you can see just before you load some shells in. I have spent the last 5 hours looking for it but I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? How much do you think it will cost and how long will it take to get to me? Thanks
  15. http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k52/bbmcgrath/CopyofJoshsbigbuck.jpg I am a minor so I blocked my face.
  16. Congrats on the deer. I was lucky enough to get a very nice 10 point mule. My brother got a bigger one that was an 8 point and my other brother got an 11 point white tail. I'm pretty happy though because this is only the second buck I have ever shot. The one I got last year was just a forked horn.
  17. I use a camo nova and mostly use 3 1/2 winchester HV in #2, #3, and #4. I mostly shoot ducks and geese with the occasional pheasant and dove.
  18. Hey guys, all I ever use in my nova are hard hitting shells unless I am dove or trap shooting. I was just wondering if anybody notices a real difference in a supernova compaired to a nova because of the comfortech. Is there enough of a difference to trade my nova for a supernova. Thanks
  19. All I would use a slug for is to hit a deer at 50 yards or less in the chest. Probably from my tree stand. Tucker, what brand of slugs are designed for smoothbore?
  20. Oh, and what about hornady sabot slugs? I just read that winchester has Super X Bri sabot slugs for smooth bores. The reason I asked about the RBH is because my brother just bought a bunch of them and I didn't want to mess up my gun.
  21. Is it okay to use a Remington Buck hammer in my smooth bore benelli nova with a IC choke? I don't wanna screw up my gun. Sorry if this has been answered before, I couldn't find the post.
  22. Cool, so it is all three. How much does it usually cost you and what size bottle do you get? Because I thought is was about $10 for a 2.5 oz bottle but I pay $11 for a 12 oz. areosol can.
  23. How much does it usually cost you and what size bottle do you get? The stuff I got came in a 12 oz. areosol can for $11. I thought it was like $10 for 2.5 oz. This is great stuff but I thought it would cost more. Also is it gun lube or just a gun cleaner?
  24. Thanks cmshoot, I think I will cryo the next guns I get. I want to get a 7 mm and a 204 ruger, and maybe a SBE II. Any one know if they are coming out with a SBE III?
