  1. I'm sorry if I read this wrong, but if I added a mag extension to an M4 with a synthetic pistol grip stock am I still okay? Plus whatever else, heat shield, scope, ghost rings, flashlight, ect.
  2. Found it on their site, $94.00, not bad. http://www.dpmsinc.com/store/products/?prod=4651&cat=1526
  3. Also, if they aren't going to continue selling 11707 to civilians, doesn't that mean they won't sell 11717's (the desert camo version) to civilians either?
  4. Makes sense, but I do pattern with the three and a halfs, that must get my adreniline going to. I love guns!!
  5. The collapsible tube only comes on the skeletonized collapsible stock right? I like the steady grip stocks anyway. But no difference in 11701 and 11703, just the numbers then? I don't get it.
  6. Thats helpful, but what tube is collapsible on the 11707? And why are they only selling to police and military? Also, does that mean there is no difference between 11703 and the 11701?
  7. I have always just used the second method in the links, left the legs and wings, but now I know how to do it right. Thanks
  8. Back to my original question, how do I clean a goose? Do I just pluck the whole bird? Then cook it like a turkey? It says I have to harvest all of the meat from geese, and any bird larger then a mallard. And it says I have to harvest the thighs of the mallards as well as the breast, which isn't that hard.
  9. What is the difference between the M1014, M4 11703, M4 11701 and the M4 11707? I've looked up a few and haven't been able to find many pictures to compare. I don't know much about combat shotguns, but I do want one.
  10. Oh, thats awesome. Does that go for the whole US? My brother is behind me right now and he is saying you have to harvest the legs as well, whether you are transporting them or not.
  11. Does anybody know the "proper" way to clean geese and ducks? I have always just breasted them out but heard that wasn't legal and considered wanton waste.
  12. Sweet, I can't justify buying a gun that I won't use , but still cool.
  13. I would love to participate in your patterning ceremony, to bad I live so far away, you could send the gun to me though. Got a question though, I shot a 3-1/2 goose round out of my uncles SBE II with comfortech one time last year and it left me with a bruse. This year I have shot boxes and boxes of 3-1/2s out of my non comfortech nova plus my brothers 10 gauge and I haven't had one bruse or a sore shoulder. Anybody know why?
  14. My buddy has one of those, he just got it refinished and everything, great looking gun. His wife met a guy that had the 12 gauge version that he picked up for $100, he wouldn't sell it to her for anything though.
  15. Last I checked, you can get synthentic, non-comfortech stocks for the SBE II and it looks like it has air-touch grip. The guy who sold it to you probably swapped the comfortech for one of these. http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/partsaccessories.tpl
  16. I would definately say get the nova. I have on and absolutely love it. My brother has a 20 and a 12 gauge 870 and they both have problems. His 20 gauge will not fire in cold weather, might be from the wrong kind of oil. And his 12 has quite a few rounds stay in the chamber when he tries to eject them. He has only used both guns a little bit this whole year. I used my nova about every other day for the last few months and have not had one problem that was related to the gun. And it is a fun clay gun too. Hope this helped.
  17. Nutria are like a mix between a beaver and a muskrat, imported from some forein country. Can't really remember, I read an article about it last year. Also, the taste of the bird really has to do with what they eat. Geese in MT aren't half bad, they eat lots of grains. Geese in Alaska taste like maggots, because they eat lots of maggots. So I would guess that is the case with the Coots, but it might just be personal preference.
  18. Nova, no comparison. The stoeger is prone to problems, that is why they don't cost much. I have a nova and absolutely love it! If I were you and had the extra cash I would get the supernova because it is a little more versatile and it has comfortech so the kick won't be as bothersome.
  19. Also, that collar could be nice to have, a buddy of mine lost a pointer a few years ago and to this day he thinks the dog had a heart attack and died in the bushes. It might have been nice to at least know what happened to the dog. So then I do see a use for the GPS, but I'm not going to get one.
  20. Will do, now, time to build a kennel, get some training equipment, some dog books, and a ****load of cash.
  21. Looks like you had some fun this year! Thanks for the pictures.
  22. All it boils down to is, do you want it shorter or not? Unfortunately, with the optional benelli pads, you can only adjust it by 7/8 of an inch. You can make it 13-1/2", 14" or 14-3/8" Hope that helps.
  23. The scheels here sells them for next to nothing, around $350-400. There guns are always under the MSRP that benelli offers.
  24. I called Bob, looks like I'm getting a PP. Thanks Sdk, but what use would that GPS be? I don't think I could find a use for it.
