  1. Mag tube is fine in CA if it's under 10 rounds... I have read the CA-DOJ assault weapons guide and had more than a few conversations with them on the phone... it's always best to call them yourself... Also the collapsible stock is fine as long as you don't install the pistol grip... it's a trade off between item You can't have any two of the following on a Semi-Auto shotgun in California; folding or telescoping stock pistol grip thumbhole stock vertical handgrip detachable magazine or any shotgun with a revolving cylinder any one of these is fine except the last check out the CA-DOJ assault weapons guide here
  2. Briley makes a barrel extension... http://www.briley.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=133
  3. I agree with all of the above... The trick is once you see the smoke start twisting like ****... I have a newer M4, and they use some green ultra strong loctite... So just take your time with it, you will get it off...
  4. It mounts on the Magazine tube. If you don't need the dual rail, you can always go for the single version I also highly recommend you get SOCOMGUYs full length tube while you still can... As I mentioned on CPF you cannot install the M900A Legally in California... Review the California Assault Weapon Guide HERE Don't waste your money on a laser they are fairly usless, go for the EOTech... Good choice but you may also want to look at Dave's Metal Works bolt handle too...
  5. that's the light I currently have on my M4... The thumb nut comes loose from time to time from the recoil...
  6. I currently have a SureFire Scout Light on my M4... I am using a B&T single picatinny rail. I am looking to replace it with the following combination. 1.) G2 Tan (I have the desert camo, so I think it will look a bit better) 2.) Replace the incandescent with a Malkoff LED 235+ lumens 3.) Use a Tan CAA Mount in conjunction with the B&T Do you think this setup can take the recoil, the heat and whatever else I am not thinking of??? I called SureFire and they said it's not recommended, but didn't say it wouldn't work either... What do you guys think?
  7. With M4 collapsible stocks selling as high as $500.00 It really puts me out of the game... I started thinking though, hey what if they have some in Italy??? Maybe I can get some extras to sell. I could be a hero and supply all my buddies here with stocks at affordable prices. So I contacted a friend in Italy and he called Benelli today, below is what he had to say... I've contacted Benelli on the phone and I've talked with people both at the export section and they've confirmed that they cannot sell the collapsible (or the folding) stock to civilians in USA, they can only sell it to military and some LEAs; at the moment they have a pending order from USMC but they aren't able to send because it's completely out of stock, so even if I wanted to buy it there isn't a single one left in Italy....besides the lady at exports has told me that I'd commit a crime sending it to a citizen of US. I'm truly sorry, I really wanted to help you... Well it was worth a try...
  8. Depends on your application, improved cylinder has a wide spread at greater distances... An M4 is an entirely different world than an 870. I world I hope you prefer it, most of us do... I honestly would use the gun how it came from the factory, the pistol grip is very nice and if you ultimately don't like it, you can always change it out later. I would also buy a few hundred rounds of 00 3" magnum buckshot to break it in. Most stuff that is "Low Recoil" wont cycle, sometimes "Reduced Recoil" will work after the gun is broken in. good luck
  9. #1 Cylinder #2 $165 at Able's (http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=104227) #3 Your SOL, you should keep the rail because before long you will want an EOTech sight #4 NO

As my grandpa always said, you should always use the right tool for the job. To remove the snap ring you should use snap ring pliers, not needle nose pliers. I use these from Channel Lock, because they are internal external selectable... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004SBDS good luck!
  11. I have no clue... I only have an M4... But get some dummy rounds and try it.
  12. post a picture... please...
  13. 7 shells in the magazine yes, you can have 1 in the chamber and 1 ghost loaded that brings you up to 9. http://www.menichetti.org/M4/DSCN9814.MOV Video on how to ghost load your M4, it takes a little practice to get it right, but once you know how it's easy... almost 200MB so a very long load time...

  16. yeah well I was shooting it stock with no optics
  17. The factory spring should work fine with a full length tube. However, if your spring is old and you keep your gun loaded it might not have enough force to put the shell in proper position. Does this happen with 2.75" & 3" shells? Also how did you install your full length tube? Did you put the receiver in a vice? is it possible you may have bent the receiver? something to think about...
  18. With the Benelli factory spring and Socomguy's tube, 90% of the time I can get 7 shells in the tube, 2.75" of course...
  19. From my understanding the M4 has only 1 size factory spring. They use the same spring in units that ship with a full tube. I am using my factory spring in my M4 with socomguy's full length tube, no problems at all. I keep my gun loaded all the time so I will change out the spring after about 9 months... 12-Banger, Go easy on the lube, you don't want to get it on your shells... also I wouldn't use more than 2 drops of loctite...
  20. A fellow forum member recommended that I try Dixie Slugs Tri Ball II. They are super size buckshot, you get three .600 caliber lead balls in a 3" shell. I took them out twice so far, both times they have trouble feeding they get stuck in the receiver, the length is 2.75" which is a bit longer than typical factory crimped ammo. Has anyone else tried these with their M4? As long as I load them 1 at a time I am fine. They are certainly the hottest load I ever shot out of my M4. I can shoot any 3" magnum factory load all day long but these are actually painful. After shooting 20 rounds at the range, my shoulder is black and blue... However nothing sounds cooler than those 3 cannon balls hitting a metal target out at a 100 yards. I also set up some paper targets at 50 yards and the 3 balls clustered very tight, maybe 1.5" - 2" apart. As a side note, my buddy just got a Smith and Wesson .460 revolver... I never shot anything with more concussive force in my life. You could feel your sinuses vibrate in shock. I am not joking it was unreal... however it was remarkably easy to shoot and could hit 15" metal targets out at a 100 yards. lots o fun!!!
  21. http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-9756-Dual-Temperature/dp/B0000302U8/ref=pd_bbs_sr_6?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1206382083&sr=8-6 I got the heat gun above, but every hardware store on earth should have a heat gun for sale... while the receiver was hot and the green crap was melted I quickly screwed in the new tube... I have shot over a 1000 rounds since and it hasn't budged. I used a sharpie to mark its original position after I installed it... It isn't going anywhere...
  22. It's a breaching choke, the teeth are used for breaking glass. It is also used for firing buckshot at locks, etc...
  23. Yup... if you know were to get one for the M4 let us know!
  24. I wish there was a breeching choke available for the M4
  25. Shoot rifled slugs w/ a cylinder choke...
