I have similar problems with my M4 once in a blue moon Rig grease on the bolt seems to do the trick. The M4 is also fussy about ammo, some shells it just does not like. for slugs I use winchester super X. They always feed fine. 3" or 2.75" http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=496433

Tucker... It's still uploading... 21 min to go... Mr. Shotgun... If you add a barrel extension to the M4, then add the +2 extension to a full length tube you could get 10+2, making a total of 12 rounds illegal in Cali... 9 in the tube one in the chamber and 1 ghost loaded... Let me guess you want a video on ghost loading too?

The video is done and uploading to my server, it will take about an hour to transfer... 155MB http://www.menichetti.org/M4/DSCN9811.MOV I made a typo earlier... the bolt has to be forward, NOT in the locked back position. You will see on the video when it's up. In Los Angeles my current configuration is fine, 18.5" Barrel, Pistol Grip, Full length tube (I highly recommend buying SOCOMGUYs tube) If I added a collapsible stock, forward grip, 10+ magazine capacity, etc... that would put me in the Assault Weapon category... I have more issues to deal with at local ranges than state law. One range I can't use anything shorter than a 24" barrel. So I had to buy a 6" barrel extension from Briley (http://www.briley.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=133) It's basically a 6" choke tube that's threaded so I can add a choke at the end... Once your out of LA the ranges seem to loosen up on their restrictions.

Don't forget to twist the stock off counter clockwise, the first time you do it, it will be really stiff and might 2nd guess which way to unscrew it and might wind up over tightening it. maybe I'll make a 2nd video without removing the barrel... you dont have to have the bolt locked back, you can leave it in the forward position and slide the trigger group forward just a bit so the tongue slides into the magazine tube a bit then remove the stock...

where do you live that wont let you have a pistol grip? I live in Los Angeles and I thought we had it bad...

Most of the time I use my glock punch, it fits just right, I have an after market Dave's metal works bolt handle and it's just slightly just too big to punch out the retaining bolt for the trigger group... However, the gentle push on a plastic part with a very big strong thick firing pin is unlikely to do any damage, if it does, I have a spare factory pin that I bought for $10.00 Thanks for the thumbs up on the video. I know how he feels, I want to know as much as possible about things before I buy, so I am ready to go when I get it. Too bad he can't keep the pistol grip, its a very comfortable natural feel to it. Does anyone know if there is a spring inside the pistol grip?

if the bolt is not in the locked back position you could get the trigger group out, or at least pushed out of the way so you could remove the stock. You will need a punch to get the plastic retaining bolt into the open position so you can move the trigger group When you get the M4 the barrel will be off anyway... the gun comes in 2 pieces.

everything seem clear on the video? any questions? pretty easy huh?

considering a replacement bolt handle costs more than a factory firing pin, also considering that the firing pin would take he-man to bend it or damage it. I think you are safe following the Benelli manual, using the M4 firing pin to punch the trigger group plastic retaining bolt. I would not recommend using your M4 firing pin for anything else however...
-
I'll make a quicktime video and post a link to it later today...
-
Hammer cocked, safety on to prevent accidental release. Pistol grip and stock are attached, unless you have a collapsible stock, yes rotate counter clockwise. Don't you have a manual? Send me an email and I can send you a PDF
-
The manual says to use the firing pin, and it's a perfect fit to punch out the trigger group retaining pin.
-
on an M4 you have to remove the trigger group first... you do not remove the recoil pad at all. 1.) Field Strip your M4, remove barrel 2.) Use the firing pin to release plastic retaining bolt for trigger group 3.) Push on bolt release button and remove trigger group 4.) Unscrew Pistol Grip Stock Counter Clockwise, the first time this is really hard!!! good luck, if you get stuck look in your manual or call benelli they are very helpful

socom guy matched the darkest tan of the desert camo for my magazine tube... quite nice...
-
what distance is ideal? remember I want to use this for busting clays
-
you got a photo of that setup?
-
Just wondering... I didn't know there was any danger to it, hence why I asked.
-
Is there anything wrong with shooting 3 1/2" rounds with my M4 if I just load them in the chamber 1 at a time?
-
Okay so I ordered and EOTech, First off I have to say the manual sucks... Can some give me a step by step dummy guide to zeroing out? I want to use it for busting clays... thanks!!!

try another brand of ammo. I use lots of different ammo and 75% of the time can get 7 in the tube. Wolf - yuk... don't give the Russians your money!!! I like Fiocchi, it's cheap, it works and the Italians are much nicer!

I have a tactical bolt handle from Dave's metal works and have no complaints. When I was ready to buy a full length tube for my M4, I was debating between socomguy's and DMW's... After all the great reviews of socomguy's and not a single bad one. I went with socomguy, and am very happy I did.

About a week ago he posted that he still had tubes for sale. I LOVE my tube... Quality is what you are paying for with Joe's tubes. I am sure no one will have any complaints...
