Still figuring out the BM-4 that arrived this afternoon. Some light trimming is going to be required, without a doubt grippier than the factory grips. Rougher in finish as well, appears to be well made. Just not a perfect, drop in fit.

Prob is that the ejector will start to deform cartridge rims if you continue to cycle the same rounds over and over again.

I agree. tucker301 does like a n00b, therefore he must be a n00b. Since I am also a n00b, it is all good ...

If your M4 is still under warranty, send the bolt group back to Benelli for inspection. Turnaround is quicker these days (I sent two M4 parts back within the last six months) than in the past.

I store my shotgun with a snap cap in the chamber and a single round on the shell carrier. I must be a n00b as well .

Nice piece, but I'll take my 11707 manufactured in 2007 over your M1014, thank you very much .

Political Post..I will probably be "axed" for this..

I say we ought to ban guns. I already have my fair share and am going to stash the good stuff for a 10x resale markup on the black market when the time comes. People do not kill people. Guns kills people. It is a fact. I read that in the Internet somewhere... -
I just picked up the first of three units Area 51 Tactical has coming in from Mako next week. Two more left, good luck guys .

Looks like a neat mod. I was going to pick one up, but it looks as if Area 51 is currently out of stock. No way I am buying from BT and Mako direct is asking over $100, including shipping ...

Did you guys read what I wrote in my sig link about springs? C'mon now!

I have patterned my M4 with various low-recoil rounds using the factory M and IC chokes at 10 yards. YMMV, but I have found that 10-yards patterns are quite tight with groups within 8-inches for both chokes. Remarkably similar. Pattern your M4 first is the lesson here.

See the M4 Full Length Magazine Tube Spring link in my sig for the final word on springs and factory part numbers!

Let us know what the resolution entailed. Benelli will submit a copy of the repair order back to you with the repaired part.

You may encounter issues with the length of the torx rail screws. I have two of their rails sitting in front of me right now, both exhibit the same issue. See my post on the Mesa Tactical forum.

Spend the arm and the leg on a telecoping stock. It's tacticool .

Coprophiliacs like it that way.

$1400 is a great deal. I layed down $1800 for one w/ a skeletonized stock for mine.

WD-40 and other such penetrating lubricants are not recommended if you keep a round chambered in your M4. tucker301 has a simple guide to follow. I was going to expand upon it, but I am a lazy guy . Bottom line is that you need to understand how the M4 works in order to determine what should be cleaned and when. Follow some of my links for more information. I use the Otis system and Hoppe's Elite to clean and an air compressor to distribute WeaponShield across parts. Three patches and 10 PSI usually does the job .

M4 11707 vs. SRKW Crash Axe vs Polarion PH50... Let's see what big power combos you guys got....

Does you barrel have two, or four gas ports?
-
What if you were hanging off a cliff, upside down with three BGs closing in and you had to shoot a rock under a boulder at 75 yards with sight screws fast unthreading to save your life? What ammo and choke would be best for shooting out of your one free hand? Hmm?

Save your money, I'll pass you a set of Viton O-rings to you once I determine the size and durometer of the factory rings. Simple enough to replace, they provide a leak free seal which allow the gas plug springs to do their job of releasing excess pressure. The answers to your questions are found within publicly available documentation and phone calls placed to Benelli CS.

You want to look at Beretta/Benelli m o b i l e chokes. You ought to pattern your M4 first. I gather you will conclude that the factory IC, or M will suit your needs. Popular chokes include Briley and Primos. Recommending a constriction over the forums is tantamount to recommending an air/fuel tune without taking into consideration local conditions (i.e. octane and barometric pressure vs. barrel tolerances and characteristics). A tighter choke may not reduce flyers as deformed pellets tend to fly, regardless.

Always ask the dealer/seller whether the M4 is an 1014, or 11707.
