I was just out playing with some Federal 00 Buck with the FC wad seeing how good they really are. So far I have just used the IC choke and was curious if anyone has ran these through a MOD choke and if so did the FC wad still do it's job.

The Nova is a one piece reciever and stock the only large interchangeable parts are the barrel and fore end. Might as well part with your Nova and buy a Super Nova Tactical if thats what you really want. One with a steadt grip stock and ghost rings will set you back around $450 and one with rifle sights just a little less.

Not to steal the glory from this post which is going very well but I have a S&W M&P15A that is like new that needs a home. I have 240rds of Federal through it and besides the little nick they get on the case deflector it looks new. It has the 16" barrel, M4 handgaurd and the Troy/M&P flip up rear sight. I am asking $900obo and that includes the gun, case, lock and S&W paperwork. I bought it new in Mrach of this year so it isn't a old safe queen either.

Obviously like all 5.56 caliber fun guns I imagine the MR1 will see more rounds a day than the common R1 sees per year. So I wonder if this will show the weakness in the ARGO sooner or if the posted problem was age.

Isn't there some way of finding out what the MR1 is using for the gas system? The RX4 has been out for years and there is no way someone hasn't had one apart somewhere.

That and I would really love to see more than peoples opinions as to what a M4 does that a M1/2 doesn't. Given they won't cycle **** ammo or some non lethal rounds, when talking mil-spec I disregard those results since they use neither. If we all wanted to be really particular a $450 Supernova with a Benelli extension will have the same capacity and is 10X more reliable.

My statement has nothing to do with me owning a M2 it was just the "MIL spec" comment being dropped too frequently around here. I was by no means trying to re-ignite the foolish M1/2 vs M4 bullcrap.

So I wonder what they did or whos arm they twisted to get the OK to bring this to the states. As the RX4 it's realease was pushed back again and again only to be cancelled. Needless to say I am going to pick one of these up.

About 1/25 of those who use Mossbergs, Ithicas and so on. That statement when discussing M4's is like saying buy a Hummer because thats what the military uses.

The Tactical 18" barrel is a fixed cylinder design. As for patterning I put around 3,000 rounds of similar birdshot through my own SNT and also around 500 rounds of Winchester 00 buckshot. Shooting the birdshot from roughly 12-15 yards would produce around a 20" spread on paper. As for 00 buckshot it was a bit better but random flyers was the norm with maybe half the load arriving on target.

So I suppose people like this also belive that when you shot someone that they fly backwards and there are just small red spots where they got shot too. As for the original topic and part of the continuing debate about birdshot. Of course it will most likely ward off 95% of people wishing you to do harm but what if someone from the other 5% breaks into your house? I myself live 10 miles outside of the city my SG is loaded with Federal FC 00 and my HG houses 15rds of BlackTalons. My fieldloads/birdshot sit beside my gun case waiting for bird/varmit/skeet duty.

I guess the way I see it is that if you really need 25rds in a shotgun you are screwed anyway.

If I seen that god awful creation mounted on my M2 I would choke and die.

Well I have done my own tests and there is no way in **** you will see my SG loaded with birdshot awaiting HD use.

Just noticed this so I figured I would ask to see if it's normal. After being fired the hammer on my M2 has a littl free play and isn't sprung against the firing pin. After pulling the trigger group I see that the part of the cartridge drop lever that covers the spring cap is curved. Is this normal or is that part of the CDL supposed to be flat?

The T-Series is basically a 5th generation of the original Black Talon. I have tested the Black Talon and both versions of the Rangers through everything from auto sheet metal/glass and BG. The Black Talons were only available in one weight per caliber unlike the Rangers which have several. The BT and 1-4th gen Rangers all have razor like talons rather than dull petals like the T-Series also. All of them performed well but the new T-Series has longer petals and expand a little more vs the older ones in all calibers.
