  1. I wouldn't call it a design flaw at all. The nice sqaured off trigger guard that helps the SN look so nice butts right up against the pistol grip. Having no gap between the two is worth the effort in loosening it. Although if we ever get invaded and I need to field strip my SN in the heat of battle I might have a problem with the design.
  2. Actually if you have a pistol grip SuperNova it allready has a notched stock rod rather than the typical recoil tube. As for the SN collapseable stock I think there were a few made and it was scraped.
  3. I think the most a butt pad will do is just over a half but 2 full inches will be impossible without permanent modification.
  4. If the Benelli Gel pads will fit the Nova stock you could knock about 3/8 off the LOP.
  5. If you are going to act like that do us a favor and buy something else so we don't have to see you again. You can thank the BS election for most delays on this kind of firearm. Way too many people that had no money to pay bills magically had money to buy PG Shotguns and assault rifles. If you voted for Obama you are reason for the delays.
  6. I have a few parts I no longer need so I figured one of you might be interested. All parts and case are new and unused unless noted. - M2/M4 Front Sight $15 - M2/M3/SuperNova Stock Retaining Bolt & Nut $5 - M2/M3 Barrel Reataining Nut/Adapter $15 - Benelli 44" Scoped Rifle/Pistol Grip Shot Gun Soft Case $45 ($85 new) I also have a Benelli extension tube, barrel clamp & end cap for Nova & SuperNova. It will make a either Nova 7+1 but you will need to buy a barrel nut/adapter from Numrich or Brownells. This was on my own SuperNova for less than 100 rounds. This will also screw into a M2 or M3 adapter and add 1 shot. $35
  7. Actually 5.5mm is what Benelli says to use which is .216535 inches.
  8. I had about 2,000 rounds through my first SuperNova Tactical, my new SNT has about 50 rounds through it and is much firmer than my old one. It should loosen up a little bit pretty soon.
  9. If they are truly messing with you and claiming it's an ammo problem then yes I would have issues also. I guess my only complaint about Benelli CS is that they had no idea that SuperNova Tacticals with the pistol grip use a bolt and different stock tube than the common recoil spring tube found on the ComforTech and regular stock. But they sent me every part they did show and the tech guy gave mew his own extension # and offered any help he had.
  10. I wasn't saying your an idiot, and I never said it was an ammo issue because I know that has no effect what so ever. My point was that I owned two that were fine alot of people here have them and all of a suddedn two have issues and now Benelli is junk, nope.
  11. I myself would rather order one than be screwed over by an internet auction for one. Pretty pathetic that a simple scare of new gun laws made these things so scarce. If the people selling these were really concerned about rights they wouldn't enjoy the BS prices they are trying to get for a M4.
  12. The SuperNova has only been in the states for what two years now. I bought my first in Feb of 2008 and my second last month and both were CC dated. Both were SN Tactical's with the pistol grip and neither have had one non-opereator error caused FTF. My original SN had 2,000 rounds through it and my new one has had maybe 100 shots. Both could be cycled and fired without having even a hand on the forend. But during quick shots if the action bar wasn't fully returned all you got was a click. Heres some food for thought: 1- Where did you buy the gun? If it sat for a while where everyone and there dog cycled it and dry fired it that isn't good. 2- Are you for 100% sure fully cycling the action? 3- I have had two SN's that worked flawlessly and two random guns had issues this is by no means a Benelli reliability problem.
  13. Well if you wanted one really bad I know for a fact that my local gun shop has one on the shelf.
  14. The help I get from Benelli and Beretta is always good but the wait time is a bit extreme.
  15. Don't suppose you would post up a pic or link to a pic of your SN with the reddot mounted? Cody
  16. What????????????
  17. Your friend is correct but not to the point where there are major velocity or power differences. Any fire arm that uses gas pressure or blow back to operate will take some power from the projectile being fired. Gas operated systems will use a little more energy but not enough to notice without major testing. My Glock 21C was a compensated handgun and used verticle slots in the barrel to allow gases to vent upwards to reduce muzzle flip. When compared to a normal non-compensated 21 there is a velocity diference of about 20fps. When it comes to pump shotgun vs gas/recoil semiauto I think the only way you will see any real difference is when shooting a slug. And even then the difference will be minimal at best.
  18. Thats odd because with my SuperNova tactical I can put a riffled slug somewhere on a 12" target at 50yards using the factory ghost rings.
  19. Well I like to consider myself the buy it because I want it kind of person. A normal car would be fine but I drive a Vette and so on. Yet the stock plastic follower has went back in my SuperNova after adding an extension and just adding a new spring. It has pushed over 1500 rounds down my magazine tube and looks the same as round number one. So basically if it makes you feel better buy it but it isn't nesessary by any means.
  20. Wow I can't belive you had FTF's in a Supernova. I have ran everything from Federal and Winchester value packs to Winchester 3 1/2" buckshot with no issues. If you are having problems it is either mechanical or user error with a Supernova, you don't need to use specific loads or lengths. So either the firing pin is getting hung up or is messed up all together.
  21. The hole in my sling plate was not straight and when I took mine out it took a few threads off. I got a new sling plate on the way but Benelli swears there is no bolt just a nut. The pistol grip uses a different stock bar than the other models and they don't have a schematic.
  22. There is no break in persay for a pump shotgun. Although when I first used my SuperNova I didn't go crazy the right away and gave it the once over when done.
  23. The same thing happened to my SN when I added a Benelli 2 shot extension a nd clamp also. The only thing you can do is oil it and ignore it because unless you recoat the barrel it will not go away.
  24. Can someone please tell me if there is a part number available for this. I need the bolt that holds on the PG stock. The Benelli schematics do not show the SN bolt only the version used on the M series guns. On the SN it is a bolt that goes through the sling plate then to a threaded insert in the stock rod. If yo have a SN you know what I am talking about. Please help!
  25. Racking a pump shot gun won't hrt it but I myself won't pull the trigger unless I am shooting or have a practice shell chambered. Now on a lesser note I do find it entertaining whe I go to Scheels on the weekend and all you hear is shotguns being racked.
